This model ships with a standard 300p webcam that will work in a normally lit indoor setting. It is not a low-light only webcam. This laptop ships with Windows 10 S-Mode 64-bit Operating System. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. Even if you have switched out of S-Mode, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. First thing I had to do was take it out of Windows 10S mode (did not serve my needs in that mode). Then I was able to install the Chrome browser. This is my browser of choice and serves my needs, but is unavailable in Windows 10s mode.

Didn’t receive it until beginning of March. Tracking had it stuck in San Fransisco for over a month. After it arrived; set it up and updated software. Which seem to slow it down drastically. Logging in to online courses took from 3 to 5 minutes. Opening up web browser for class would take from 10 to 20 minutes. While readying a page the buffing would re-set the browser to the top of the page and lose my place. Restarting all over from the beginning. Over all, thinking it was good for online class only was a waste of time and money.

I have a MacBook Pro and I decided to get an additional pc so that while I am working from home I would also be able to do some school work at the same time; nothing major. I set up the computer and noticed how hot it got in a short amount of time. The computer has only been out of the box an hour and I already hate it. I went to sign into my work webpage and I was amazed at how slow it was going. The lag you get while typing- my mind was blown. I typically don't write reviews & I felt compelled to write one because I hate this computer so much!! DO NOT BUY!
