Meets my needs
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microsoft sure doesn’t like “other” apps invading their territory...had difficulty getting Chrome installed, but that is not Lenovo’s fault.

Okay laptop
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It worked good for a couple of months and then it started acting up. Camera and microphone quit working. Internet browser kept closing by itself. I guess it would have worked better if I kept it in Microsoft S mode.
No, I would not recommend this to a friendGood value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got if for a great price and it is a very good PC for the money. Bought a 128G micro SD memory module that is cheap, extremely simple to use and greatly increases storage. I am pleasantly surprised at the speed and ease of use. I would recommend it but be sure and realize it is not a high speed, big storage laptop. It is more like a net book and a good value. Full version of WIndows 10 and 1 year of Office as well

Pretty slow
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop looks fine for its price. However as soon as I turned it on, it was slow from the beginning without installing anything. I don’t understand why it would be slow being brand new.

Posted .The Lenovo IdeaPad 1-14 laptop will boot from off to the Windows 10 Desktop in less than 20-seconds, thanks to the 64GB eMMC solid state hard drive and Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System. If the computer is slower than expected during the initial use of the computer, it is possible that Windows 10 S-Mode is still updating and configuring itself. Give the computer some time to complete these updates and configuration adjustments. The Lenovo IdeaPad 1-14 laptop is an entry level, light use system with its AMD A6-9220e processor, with a base speed of 1.6GHz and a boost speed of up to 2.4GHz, 4GB of RAM and a 64GB eMMC solid state hard drive, for quick access to files and programs. I would recommend this to a friend Good for my sons homework
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works well for my son to do his homework on. The video function is terrible though, as well as the sound. But, we simply got it for him as a cheap homework computer BEFORE the distance learning. It was perfect for an 8 year old then.
I would recommend this to a friendNot worth purchasing
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in a bind and purchased this laptop last minute, however, I couldn’t use it. I had done my research and found that this laptop was in S Mode which I can understand why it would be helpful for a child. But.... if you want to use a browser other than Microsoft Edge or Zoom or have multiple browsers open or play music or just download anything not in the Microsoft store, this is not the laptop for you. Yes, you can get it out of S Mode but then you can’t change it back. Anyways, maybe for the right person, who really wants to limit the use and potential of the software, this is a good buy. But for anyone above the average or expert user, this is not.
