We needed something for online schooling and were on a strict budget. This is terrible for online meetings. Most websites will never get passed the loading stage and when they do...if you get five minutes without freezing up it was a great day. I three other computers being used for school and work in the house and this issue is only on this Lenovo. My kiddo ended up using his phone to join classes. I will be purchasing another computer that fits our needs. Feel like I lost $300. Get what you pay for.

Got it on a Black Friday sale for approx. $120. I figured if it's as horrible as so many say it is, at least I wouldn't be out too much money. Well, folks, I am giving it a 5 star rating because it's performed flawlessly for me in the past month that I've owned it. Haven't used it a ton, but for basic surfing, email, etc. it works fine. Setup was a breeze and it powers up and I'm online in maybe 30 seconds or so. Fastest computer I've ever had in my life from startup to surfing. I haven't used it for anything very complex yet, but guys, this is a cheap computer...probably one of the lowest tier machines you can get new. And it works great for me. I am so happy I ignored the bad reviews and bought it. If you are like me and want a laptop for basic surfing & email type needs, this one is perfect.

So far no issues with the 2nd laptop. We use this strictly for web browsing as part of online learning; it's not the fastest, but it gets the job done. It's lightweight & sleek. My only issue with it is that the power button is where the delete key is traditionally - so imagine instinctively hitting the delete key only to realize you just set the laptop to sleep *facepalm*

You can keep your computer running at its best by keeping the Windows 10 Operating System and all supporting BIOS files and drivers up to date. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. Just type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. I must have for any student and i believe it to be a decent purchase for the price. Definitely not as fast as one of the high tech laptops, but it does it’s job. Touchscreen would’ve been a good option.

With a good deal, double the money may get slightly more than double the quality of this product, but it's not easy to match while held to its price level. Be aware that Windows comes in S mode, which can be switched out of (but not back into) for increased functionality and increased risk.

The switch is one way. Once you switch from S-Mode to Windows 10 Home, you can not switch back to S-Mode. This is to maintain the integrity of the S-Mode ecosystem.

I have a Lenovo now which I dropped and the screen is unreadable on the left side by an inch all the way down. It was cheaper to buy the new Lenovo for backup than repair the screen on my current one. To be honest I haven't used the new one yet but it appears very similar to my current model

It would've already been priced within my budget, but as a result of being a re-boxed item I received bigger savings. It's the perfect size for me and does what I need. I mostly surf the web, check email and do online education for work. It starts up fast, no real internet lag (I use my mobile hotspot) and battery life is sufficent for me. I've had it a little over a month and no real complaints. I wish the charger was a little more compact and had a thicker cord. Originally I wanted a cd drive, but I rarely used it on my previous laptop. I thought it was touchscreen but it is not, but that is not a feature I need. I've never traveled with my previous laptop, and this one does not need to be on the go. But with a good, protective case and good care, I don't see why it wouldn't be good for traveling.

I bought this computer because I’m doing all of my work online due to Covid-19 and I needed something reliable. Honestly, I almost passed on this computer due to all the negative reviews but I’m glad I didn’t. This computer is everything I needed and more. At first glance, it’s an attractive looking computer. Another thing I love about it is how light it is. When I took it out of the box it wasn’t charged, but I didn’t mind. It charges up really fast. The only thing I didn’t necessarily care for was the fact that I had to disable S mode in order to download google chrome, proctorio, and all the software I needed for my labs, but that was also a quick and easy fix. Don’t listen to the negative reviews. My computer moves really fast. I have three tabs open right now and I’m still getting pretty good speed. The price and the quality you’re getting are amazing.

Very light weight and compact, works efficiently. Long lasting battery . First time using this brand but HP & Acer weren't available. Love using Microsoft. Wanted to get away from Google. Only down spot haven't found a brightness control needs to be brighter. No physical manual.

I was shocked when I opened the box that the device does not come with a CD slot. It would have been nice for this to be included in the description. The device is brand new but already I am seeing that it runs very slowly even when there is only one browser window opened. I also found that the emoji keyboard is not a feature of this product as well. Overall it does the job minimally but I'd have definitely gone with a different product.
