This thing is... Not great. I'm literally only using it to do a coursera course and take notes on Google drive and it's maxed the CPU at 100%. I just closed some tabs on Edge and it spiked it up again, at rest it's about 20%, but playing a video on Edge uses up 66% of the CPU. And doing only this it's using 67% of the memory. Idk if I got a bad one, but this thing struggles to close windows, takes forever to load pages, can't even open file manager without taking forever. I was hoping for an affordable alternative until my better laptop gets fixed but this one is just frustrating.

Disclaimer: if you are looking for a high speed workhorse, straight out of the box, forget it! This is a barebones laptop. Reviewers who have cautioned you about a slow setup are correct. You will spend an agonizing amount of time downloading and installing both windows and Lenovo updates. After that, for this product to be useful, switch out of Windows 11 Home in S, in favor of Windows 11 Home. Then you will be able to download a better browser and enjoy your favorite apps. Doing this will improve usability. Again, this will not make it perform like a $1000 machine, but it will certainly help. I deleted Macafee, in favor of Defender already installed, and negated One Note, One Drive and the Microsoft 365 one year subscription. I don’t advise deleting Lenovo Advantage as it updates the BIOS. This device has a very usable keyboard and responsive trackpad. The unit is attractive and appears to be solid. I originally bought it knowing that it had low end specs thinking that I would convert it from Microsoft to a Linux based OS. If that is your intention, this will be an excellent choice. If not, consider doing something similar to what I did. With patience you will be able to make this bargain priced laptop useful and enjoyable.

Realizing that it had a N4020 my expectations were fairly low. It did take forever to process all the updates and remove the temp files from the updates. Once all of this was done I was pleasantly surprised at how responsive it was. Plenty of storage left but got a 256 gb sd card and programmed it so all new apps and files go directly to it. Not a gamer so this works out well for me. For $119 including 1 year of 365 it is a steal!

I got my IdeaPad laptop in December 2023 and decided to wait a couple of weeks before I gave a review but I honestly love this laptop. It is extremely light weight and fully functional with the systems that I use at work. Also, it has a great battery life. I can usually go 5 to 6 hours at work before having to attach the plug. It's kind of basic but it definitely gets the job done efficiently. I'm glad that I made the purchase.

I absolutely love this laptop. I picked up the Lenovo Ideapad 14” and couldn’t be happier with the value. For under $150, it delivers exactly what I need: smooth performance for school, streaming, and everyday tasks. The setup was quick, and the battery life easily gets me through long study sessions without needing a charge.

I use this laptop for remote login for work, so need pretty much no power or storage in the device itself. Setup is pretty bad, as your first time starting will be very slow and sluggish. After completing a few restarts for updates it runs smooth and gets the job done. I’m a pretty aggressive typer and usually use a mechanical keyboard, but I’ve been pretty impressed with the responsiveness of this one. Trackpad is typical for a cheap laptop, so don’t expect much. Battery has been solid for the month that I’ve had it.

Extremely slow out of the box. I bought it to use TurboTax as it wasn’t supported by my 10 year old MacBook (which is still exponentially faster than this). I dread using this as I know most of the time spent on it is going to be loading and waiting. Wish I would’ve read the reviews more in depth before purchasing.

One year later and it's too laggy to use. I've never used it for anything other than school and taken good care of it. It takes 10 minutes to start up, and after that I'm lucky if I can get my email to load. In the beginning it was fine, but now it is barely usable. I do not reccomend this unless you need something cheap for short term use.

Well for this price I would have to say it is good for kids and also school, but for an adult if your looking to play games on it or even cloud games this is not the notebook for you. The processor is sluggish and freezes up too much. But I mean it's good for surfing the internet or saving photos and making reports or anything school related.

I purchased this laptop because of the very low cost brand new compared to others that were still much more expensive used. I had read the reviews about this laptop being rather slow but decided to give it a shot anyway. Although at times yes this laptop can be a little more on the sluggish side. It still gets the job. Only downside is have major issues with connecting to my quest2. Which was the driving factor that started my search for a laptop in the first place.

When I first got it, it wouldn't even load a page. I had to remove anything not needed, remove the S-Mode, and I could finally get it to load. It still is not very fast, and you cant have too many windows open, but I was able to pay my bills. My normal laptop, an HP, died and I needed to pay my bills. I had to purchase another one to do my research.

It is a decent computer for a kid to school. Just setting it up took half the storage and only runs in S mode so you have to disable that to get things that are not windows.

as long as you keep your expectations and check with this computer, you won’t be disappointed. The little processor might not seem like very much on paper, but it is surprisingly good once you have optimized the Windows experience. I've even run virtual machines on this laptop, and it's been able to handle some lighter systems such as Windows XP.
