Turns out to be a great choice. Light weight makes up for it being a little wider than I wanted.

The machine is small, but more than sufficient for my needs. It is comfortable to type on and the screen is ample size. Kinda wish it had a "Home" button that was easier to access, but that's a small complaint.

We own three of these in our house (spouse, son, myself) and have had no issues. I run Photoshop and Premier Pro on the laptop with ease.

This has led to my laptop shutting down on me on multiple occasions. Perhaps this is only an issue with my machine, but I would think twice about purchasing this laptop. However, when this laptop works, it definitely works.

Lenovo Ideapad Is Great!

It's super light and very easy to use. The only thing I miss about my old Dell is the backlit keyboard. Other than that, the Lenovo is great!

It's just a little flimsy and has blue screened a couple times (nothing chronic, though). Make sure to get a case!

Windows 11 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 11 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. Even if you have switched out of S-Mode for Windows 11 Home, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 11. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. Here is a link to instructions for uninstalling McAfee from a Windows computer: https://service.mcafee.com/?articleId=TS101331&page=shell&shell=article-view You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. Works fast enough but broke after just over a year

I have Sims 4 with all the expansions, and additional mods, and it plays it at a reasonable speed. The issue I have is with the quality of the actual physical laptop. I've owned this laptop for just over a year and about a month ago it started creaking when I close or open it. Today, the entire top casually popped off so I'm currently typing this while having to prop the top up to avoid it flopping over and possibly snapping itself or the connecting wires. I keep my laptops in a safe drawer between uses so there wasn't any accidental wear on the laptop that would have caused this other than normal use. I wasn't really looking to buy another laptop so soon but I guess I have to now

S Mode only allows the installation of software through the MS app store, even Microsoft's own built in apps like Command and PowerShell are blocked with an error stating it is not a "Microsoft-verifed app". You can disable S Mode after you log in to the app store with a MS account, which they likely forced you to create/use during the setup process. I understand that this is not a big deal to most people, but you should not have to use an account for something that you have already paid for.
