The first iteration was cosmetically damaged out of the sealed box. The second attempt had a case that was misaligned and clicked into a new position each time you rested your hands to type.

Firstly, we recommend ensuring that the touchpad is enabled within Windows. To start, launch the "Settings" app, then select "Bluetooth & devices" tab from the left-hand menu, choose the "Touchpad" tab from the right-hand menu, from this page you can enable the touchpad if it has been disabled. If the touchpad option does not appear that the touchpad driver may be corrupted or missing.
To fix corrupted or missing drivers, we recommend running and installing all available drivers updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings, these updates are crucial to the device’s health and can correct corrupted drivers that could be causing the touchpad issue. To check for updates within Lenovo Vantage begin by launching the application, then select the “Check for updates” button on the top of the right-hand of the display. To check for Windows Updates, start by launching the Settings app, then selecting the Windows Update tab on the left-hand side of the page, finally select the “Check for updates’ button located in the top right of the page.

New laptop purchase.

Quite different than my older desktop. Just a learning curve. But that’s just the programming. No complaints with the laptop. Would buy again.
