Doing small video edits and it works pretty fast in my video conversion. I like how I have a number keypad. My only gripe, I use external monitor and keyboard and mouse, when the computer turns off it's display I can't wake it up. Only option is to never have the screen turn off for either "plug-in/out" and setup lock screen after x amount of time. Not sure if it is a Windows home thing or manufacture thing. Other than what it works well for my needs.

Since this IdeaPad does not feature an external power button, if the system sleeps, you must reopen the lid and wake the device before continuing use of the system. I checked Best Buy and they were having a Labor Day sale that I could not pass up. I purchased this Lenovo IdeaPad and am very happy with the functionality and performance. This is perfect for the casual user as I am not a social media person or someone who uses a computer for sophisticated tasks. If there were one thing I would look to add to make this 100% ideal, it would be to have backlighting under the keys. My work computer has this feature and it really is a good one.

Scrolling Facebook, falling for internet scams, and forgetting the login password are the extent to which my mother utilizes it, but it works well and has a long battery so holding out hope that it’ll last a good couple years.

Decent price for a decent computer

I would suggest using a wireless mouse as the track pad gets a little annoying. Speed of computer is sufficient. No problems with whatsoever. Also don’t rely on the on board speakers. Use your Bluetooth speakers or headphones

Typically it’s easier to navigate campus websites, platforms, programs, etc. with a PC hence my purchase. I didn’t want to spend too much and decided to go with it because it has a touchscreen, which my Mac doesn’t have. The setup was simple, I was able to access my gmail and outlook accounts right away. My passwords were accurately stored and it was simple to log in and out of my accounts. These things matter and it was working out okay. The issues I experienced were only being able to connect my iPhone via hotspot, I have tried many times and it won’t synch over WiFi. This is also a pain because I have to do it every time I use this computer, it’s not seamless as it is with other laptops. I cannot even begin to describe my hatred for Mccaffee, it’s preloaded on the Lenovo and will torment you until you get rid of it. I never fall for mccaffee, it’s a subpar service and an extremely expensive product that’s packed with nuisance ads. The VPN is useless on a phone and can cause disruptions with WiFi and if you don’t cancel your subscription be prepared for a 200 dollar plus sticker shock the following year. So, bad on you Lenovo for going with the worst antivirus out there. The touchscreen is responsive, as well as the keyboard. I like that it has a full number keypad, this is a rarity on these devices. What I hate about the keyboard, no backlight! This is awful in the evenings and even worse if you have bad eyesight. The screen resolution is meh. Overall, a great computer if you’re starting out in college or just need a computer that has all of the basics covered. Long story short, I gave in to temptation and traded in my old MacBook for a new one which is surprisingly compatible with my educational needs and works seamlessly with my other devices. I decided to give the Lenovo to my kid, the parental controls are a breeze to setup and have an easy to use app. If I were an Android and/or PC user I might like it a bit more but I got sucked in by Apple far to long ago to be able to turn back.

To start, we recommend visiting this Microsoft webpage that talks about the Phone Link app for Windows devices, enabling you to connect your iPhone to your Windows PC, along with instructions on completing the process.
Regarding McAfee, this software is preinstalled on all Windows devices, a part of the services and subscriptions offered by Microsoft for PCs.
