Screen broken

WHITE SCREEN OF DEATH ALMOST IMMEDIATELY

Within 2 weeks this unit was getting the white screen of death, freezing up, and shutting down browsers, regardless of which one used due to not enough memory. Im not storing much files/data AT ALL! This occurs with one window open or 7. Doesnt matter. Neither Lenovo or Bestbuy will address it. I needed a very basic laptop to simply run multiple windows at once. This one FAILED MISERABLY almost immediately. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY & TIME. Buyer Beware.

Bad product and even worse customer service

My daughter started using this on the 30th just after her birthday. 2 weeks later, she turned the laptop on after not using it for a while and the screen started leaking, I took it to best buy who couldn’t determined because nothing was visible, a supervisor took it back at the geek squad, he came back after a while and said there was a crack on the screen causing the lcd crystal to leak, I asked him how this is possible when this has been sitting on a desk and barely used? He said sometimes a little pressure on the screen could cause this. Are you kidding me? A little pressure? What pressure? They suggested I send to manufacturer to see if they could help, I sent it and Lenovo came back with a repair quote of $264.90 for a product that was apparently defective. The top of this is made out of plastic material. DO NOT TOUCH THIS PRODUCT, it is the worst laptop ever, and the manufacturer doesn’t care about customers satisfaction. Horrible people

Fine for school

Functionally basic but annoying

To start, regarding the touchpad, first, in Windows Settings, follow these steps to get to touchpad settings: Bluetooth & Devices > Touchpad. There should be an option to toggle touchpad options there, and please ensure it is on. Also, under the "Taps" option in this part of the menu, you can adjust touchpad sensitivity. If this doesn't do the trick, then try installing any available updates through the Lenovo Vantage app by selecting the "Check for updates" button on the homepage of the app. Then, check for updates in the Settings app by selecting the Windows Updates tab and selecting "Check for updates" button.

Regarding your issue with battery life – there are many variables that contribute to shorter battery life. Thankfully, many of those variables can be adjusted. By default, the system will tend to give more speed when needed, which can sacrifice battery life. If you want to squeeze out more battery life, we recommend utilizing the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled to adjust settings related to power and battery performance (to access relevant settings, open Vantage > Device Settings > Power). You can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both worlds.

Software issues off the bat

They told me that it already needed to be reformatted because the memory ram was corrupted
