Overpriced for what it offers

I wanted a sub-$500 laptop to use as a hobby machine with Linux and thought this would fit the bill. Case is very flimsy and twists easily; typing with any weight behind keystrokes will flex the keyboard. Non-upgradable RAM, which I knew going into the purchase. The screen is probably the biggest drawback. Unless looking at the screen head-on the picture fades out pretty quickly and the brightness control is a hot mess. There's essentially 4 settings to the screen brightness: Whitewash, you-can-see-a-little, sort-of-dark, and dim. After using this for a few days I think the most I'd pay for it would be around $200. You can get much better quality laptops on Woot for the same 300-400 dollar price point.

To clarify, regarding S mode, it is a more secure, lighter version of the Windows 11 Operating System that only allows the downloading of applications from the Microsoft Store. If you try to launch or install an executable or .exe file, the system prevents it.
