What is the the deal with people leaving 3 and 4 star reviews for when they say great things in their review? I've bought three of these so far for my classroom, and am going to purchase more. I had bought another brand, but these show superior build quality by far, and including a much nicer screen than another brand I had purchased. I really don't understand people leaving a 4 star review because they say "nothing can ever be 5 stars" or because it only has a 90 day warranty -- it's a $150 dollar laptop with the build quality of a $500 laptop or more -- this laptop will last, and I'm excited to purchase more as I know it will withstand being used in a classroom..

a beginner computer but was too slow and was a open box that was missing the charging cable and was not in box and was labeled incorrectly.

When I got this chromebook I didn't know whether it would be the right one. When I went to a member I got my top three based on what he said. Great for kids. I have no problems! This is not a get what you pay for product. It is much better. I reccommend this chromebook highly!

Bought this for streaming only but couldn't do it. Returned it after 18 hours of agony and waste of time.

Ha's camera good. Doe's not have place U can plug my modem into & has no CD/DVD accessory!

As long as you are aware of the limitations of chromebooks, these are an excellent value. The battery life on this chromebook is incredible. In my experience, the battery will routinely last over 9 hours while having the screen brightness turned up and doing a mix of activities, such as watching videos, surfing the web, and other such stuff. When doing primarily websurfing without videos (like me having netflix open in another window while I'm doing work), it will last for 11+ hours. That is awesome. I also like the keyboard. The screen is good enough. Not excellent and not bad. The system is very fast. Compared to similar spec windows 10 computers, it blows them out of the water in terms of speed. You are limited in terms of what kind of programs you can run, but that is something that you should be aware of before you get this device. For office, you can use the online office suite, so that is not an issue. You can easily do email, videos, facebook, general office work (as long as special software is not required). At 11.6", this is obviously incredibly easy to carry with you. My summary is this: if you want great battery life and the ability to do general tasks, this is an awesome deal.

I was looking for a small easy to use travel laptop. I found it today. I got it home, and was up and running in about 3 minutes. It does what I need, check emails, surf the web, youtube, watch a video on netflix. The battery has a 10 hour usage is great. Very light, but built solid.

I myself have a desktop and laptop both with Intel Core i7's and boat load of memory, but we needed something less for my wife since she does not use hers the way I use mine. So we looked at the open box laptops and came across this Chromebook. I had never heard of one, but this one was about $92 dollars so we figured what the heck. My wife just video chats, listens to music and Facebook and so on. This has actually exceeded her expectations and if it makes momma happy, it makes me happy. Best $92 spent in a long time. And for those giving it a low rating complaining about what it does, did you bother to read the specs before buying? I suspect many did not.

Excellent product - as long as you are buying for what it is. What it is not is a laptop computer. To hold this item to those same standards is unfair. I have used Chromebooks with my students. I bought this just for travel so I do not have to lug my laptop and plug everywhere, risking theft or damage. This works great! It is light-weight, and easy to carry. I shove this and the a/c adapter into a laptop sleeve and I am good to go. The battery life is excellent - ran it for over 8 hours checking email, Facebook, doing some updates to a website I created, and I didn't have to charge it once. It logs on quickly to any wifi available, and is responsive when I use it. I was able to access the grading website we use in my district easily, and to input grades. My daughter took it on a trip doe a competition instead of her Macbook Air as I was afraid of possible theft as she was with 1000s of people she didn't know, She said it was perfect for just checking into her Facebook, surfing the internet, and uploading picture from her phone. i be likely to pick up a few more of these for my classroom as the price is right, as well.

I don't like lugging my main laptop around so I was looking for a cheap/light laptop to carry around to coffee shops etc. just for email and web browsing. I tried the Lenovo 100s Windows 10 machine but it was way too slow for web browsing anything more complicated than the google site so I returned it. Sales assistant suggested I look at Chromebooks. This Chromebook works fantastic. It's quick, boots fast and does what I need for under $150. It does not have a fan so it can sit on your lap and battery life is amazing.

love this chrome book. battery life is amazing. just brought it yesterday & love the fact that it has a built in battery.

I have a full featured Laptop with Windows 10, but for the most part I use this computer for almost everything. Its light, its super fast at starting up and has 10 hours of battery life. I can do most tasks on here. Now if I need to do graphics which is my job, then I use my Windows 10 laptop with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

This is a great item for basic streaming and web browsing! I was a little iffy on buying a Chromebook because of the limitations but i have found that i don't miss Windows at all! This little guy also has an AMAZING battery life, i have had this Chromebook for about a week and have only had to charge it twice! Well worth the money!

This chromebook is a low cost laptop for 149$. I went to store to buy this laptop but found the trackpad is bit tough and not easy to navigate. It might be good if you can use the mouse. Warranty is another thing, lenovo gives the standard warranty for 90 days which is less for a new product.

I purchased two of these chromebooks at 129.00 each on sale for my 7 and 10 year olds. They absolutely love them. All the Google apps/docs allows them to set up reports and projects for class. They also log on to favorite sites like dork diaries.com and cartoon network and play games. I am very surprised at how fast it runs from page to page. Maybe it has something to do with us having Charter internet service...not sure. But also plays you tube videos and music. Very great buy!!!

i got this to replace my thinkpad x41 witch i am still using it is very slow it is my back up laptop now replaced wanted a cheap laptop to have in my car i have a laptop mount in my car and wanted a cheap laptop that i could have google chrome on youtube and some other stuff on the x41 is so old it does not work with youtube if freezes every time you type youtube .com

After having a PC laptop break down in less than 15 months, our family moved to the more economical "chromebook" for our needs. Currently, we have three. The latest, this Lenovo, was a great steal at under $130. It provides our family with all the functions that we need. The one thing I do not like, though, is, as a typer, I frequently use my CAPS LOCK key, but on this chromebook, that key is replaced with a "search" key. I find this somewhat annoying. Additionally, there is no backspace key, which, again, I like. But, all in all, I would def. purchase this chromebook again.

Purchased while looking for a new career. It is light weight and very easy to use. Great to have while working and going back to school. Amazing response time, sleek look, and very manageable.

I have had this chromebook for years. It's probably been about 4-5 years. It is still working very well and has endured of a lot of abuse from being carried around back and forth from school to home. The battery life is amazing and I love the fact that is is a matte screen. No glare. Thank goodness. The keys are nice to type on.
