One disappointment was that the ear/microphone port didn’t seem to work when I tried to record a cassette to the Audacity program, but probably need to adjust some settings. Bought to replace a Asus Black Friday special laptop purchased a couple of years ago which was a total piece of crud.

With regard to recording from the combo audio jack on this device, with the device plugged in, right click on the speaker icon at the bottom right of your Windows 10 screen. Be sure to set the device as "headset" on the Realtek manager.

Great product for the price

This was option #2, but so far we are very happy. We bought this for college for my husband to use exclusively for school. You really can't beat a laptop for just over $100.

Great For Basic Needs

The reason why I gave it 4 stars is because even though I deleted a lot of apps that I don't need (mostly games), the memory is almost full. It would be nice if it had just a bit more more memory, and if you could uninstall the Xbox apps.
