Great laptop for college students!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a college student, I needed a laptop that was dependable and affordable. I decided to buy this product and over the last three days, this laptop has been amazing! At a first glance, the laptop is indeed very slim, but provides a edgy look. The keypad is big enough to press the correct key each time, and is also quite for the most part. As for performance, it runs fairly quickly compared to others. From the startup to the shut off, it only takes a couple of seconds. Opening up single to multiple applications, there's really no lag to it. As for battery life so far, it seems to last for a good amount of time. I haven't charged it for the last two days, and the battery is still above the halfway mark. The charging alone is also fairly quick. When connecting a USB drive or memory card, it connects almost immediately to the device. The WiFi works well with the connections I've connected to, and the Bluetooth can easily find and connect to other devices such as phones and wireless mouses. Now, for the cons I have for this laptop... there really isn't any that I can name of. This laptop may not big the biggest as to size, and its brand may not be as recognized as other brands, I highly recommend getting this laptop. With its slim look and high quality performance, it truly is a bang for your buck!

Better off spending a little more for a better lap
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop struggles to multitask. I can barely keep 3 tabs open and a Word document running in the background without my browser crashing due to low memory. Many reviews said it's good for basic web surfing but I'd disagree. I don't mind saving my documents to the cloud, but the storage on it is so small that it can't even download Windows updates.

Sleek, light, surprisingly great performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop for my elementary school-aged son. It was on sale for something like $115. I just wanted something inexpensive he could use to practice typing, etc. He mainly uses it for playing Prodigy and programming in Scratch. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised by this little system. It has a very light, very sleek design and I think it looks and feels great (I have the white version). Responsive keyboard, trackpad works great, and the display looks excellent. Powers on in seconds, has excellent battery life, and so far, has been working flawlessly. I haven't initiated the 1 year Microsoft 365 it came with yet, and I haven't put anything else on it other than Chrome, but so far so good. Very pleased with my purchase. (Although it only has a 32 GB emmc flash drive (aka cheap version of an SSD), there is a microSD slot on the side, and I've put at 64GB card in there, so I should have plenty of room to store files, photos, whatever as need-be.)

Faster and Better than it seems.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I was toying around with the smaller netbook type laptops in the store, this was/is by far the fastest. I've been using and working on laptops for a long time, and I was pretty blown away actually. Of course the guys there were totally discouraging me from it, which I don't like. I buy what I want, and what I like, I don't mind opinions, but not someone blatantly telling me to stay away from something. So after fooling with it. I showed one of the "techy guys" what this thing could do. I opened up Microsoft Edge, a 1080p Youtube Video was playing, opened up Media player, playing a song that was on the pc, then opened the camera (which worked great, and tried one more page with heavy ads and a video. Yes the CPU went from 70% to 100% but this was with ALL of that open. And it didn't freeze nor lag at ALL. Needless to say i was impressed and so was he. He actually said wow that's really surprising it could do all of that at once. Especially with 1.86gigs of usable memory. So i picked it up and wow it's still great. Great track pad, blue tooth works great, very clear crisp screen, great a/c wireless etc. Speakers are on the low side but really who buys something like this for killer sound? So this thing is a little multitasking beast, Now for programs, and heavy stuff I highly doubt it. Also it's fanless, so no sound. has 2 3.0 USB ports, full HDMI and SD card for memory expansion. So for the price i got it (114$ plus tax) oh yeah, I highly recommend this. Great product!!

Horrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t do reviews very often, but I can safely say....don’t do it. I was able to install one small program and then system says “ memory too low”. This is likely a Windows 10 problem with updates. Updates will consume all of the memory and then computer runs super slow. Called customer NO service only to be told I should probably call Microsoft. I asked why Leveno would put people in the position, I was told I could upgrade my memory. To recap...Windows 10 if it installs updates will take all your memory, then when you try to factory reset it will tell you your memory is too low to do a reset.....? Then you will call Leveno customer service only to find out your stuck with a frisbee.

Perfect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a cute little computer. Relatively underpowered computer, but for my needs (like most of the reviews say), it works. I'm taking this to school to write notes in Word and browse webpages in both Chrome and Firefox. Office 365 ($70 version) included for a year. Black Friday had this for $99, I found a deal before Christmas for $114. It's definitely worth either price, perhaps even worth the usual $149. But totally happy at $114. I'll easily sell my old school laptop for $100.

Great for price and it comes w/ Windows OS!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought one of these for my daughter a few months ago after her laptop was stolen. It was a quick buy and gave her something to use right away, right out of the box. It was supposed to be a temporary loan until she could get herself a larger-format PC, but she loves it and decided it's all she needs (she's a teacher and a grad student and uses it for everything without a problem). When it went on sale, I bought a couple more, one to give as a gift and one to keep. Having Windows is a huge plus. I never considered buying a small laptop because most are Chromebooks. That may be fine for some--I'm not all that familiar with that operating system--but I'm used to Windows and a lot of my work programs require having a Windows OS. So for me, it's great that this has Windows 10. I'd recommend getting the mini sd card for extra storage. You'll need it. By the way, Lenovos rock. I have two Lenovo laptops and a Lenovo desktop and I have NEVER had a problem with any of them. My teenaged son uses the oldest laptop, which is a refurbed commercial model I bought through the Best Buy Marketplace, and he loves the thing. He's into graphic arts and watches lots of YouTube videos too. It's still fast. If you think you get what you pay for, in this case it's not true.

LENOVO 110S
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed a basic entry level laptop for regular internet browsing that didn't break the bank. Picked this up and put it to use right away. For the price I paid for it, I am not disappointed. Does everything I need it to do. Looks great in the white color, screen is big enough to see everything clearly. Happy with this item, would be a great pick up for anyone just looking for a reliable entry level type laptop.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For Starters i Love How Small & Cute This Notebook Is. Its Convienient For Traveling. My HP Laptop Stopped Charging For Some Reason & Im a College Student So I Needed Something ASAP. So Far I Like it Alot, The Graphics Arent Bad & The Screen is Clear For the Price. My Only Con is That When i Have Been Using The The Touchpad At Random Moments The Screen Turns Black. Then i Can Click a Button or Swipe My Finger on The Touch Pad Again & The Screen Will Show Again. If Someone Can Tell Me What That is or What Causes it, Please Let Me Know if You Have Experienced It, With This Product. So for Now This Product Serves Its Purpose, For College. Hopefully That Issue Will Stop & i Wont Have to Return It. I Would Love to Keep This For a Long Term.

A Great Mini Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got it on sales about $120. It is a really good deal. It has a full sized HDMI, 3 full powered USB ports (1 is USB 3.0), and micro SD card slot. Everything works fine and I got my own 32 GB micro SD card for additional storage space. It is a dual-core cpu and it is sufficient enough to run simple tasks. I primarily use it for remote desktops/VPN and some web browsing and transferring files to/from my external hard drives. There is a couple ways to speed up this toy. 1 - disable windows update service and manually run it as needed. I found out that Win updates took lots of CPU processing and slowed down the machine :(. 2 - disable the animation menus to improve the graphic speed. The screen is great for me and I like it can be 180 degree folding down. The speakers are good, but you have to adjust the audio equalizer to tune up the sound otherwise the default sound is dull. It works well with my Chromecast and I can wireless cast Youtube videos to my TV :) It is also light weight and great for travel and battery life is good. The keyboard work fines and it has cap light :) The touch pad works ok, but a little small compared to my Asus mini laptop. I use my wireless mouse anyway. I wish I can have other color choices rather white. But overall I am satisfied with my purchase :)

Great for student
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this laptop, great for a college student who just needs a small light laptop. I almost bought a chromebook for $200 SO glad I saw this laptop, and on sale for $169. It has windows 10 and comes with a free year of office. Battery is great and keyboard is easy to type on. It's smaller than the average laptop but if you just need it to bring back and forth to class or just basic computing, its the best bang for your buck.

Great deal for the price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I pick this up just after Christmas. I needed something to surf the net and do some simple spreadsheet work on. This does just that. It is not the fastest computer and but it is a great alternative to a tablet at a much lower price. I will be buying a 32 GB micro SD card to allow me to store a few more files but will back up to an external hard drive when needed. This is super light. I will most likely buy another for my kids to use.

A Great Barebones Netbook
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, I am writing this review after a week of use. If I encounter issues at a later date, I plan to edit the review. Second, please consider that this is truly a netbook: a low-cost device with limited functionality. My review is entirely based on that reality. If you don't know what a netbook is, read on to get a basic sense of what you get and what you don't get, and what you can do and what you can't do, with such a machine. WHAT YOU GET: * 32 GB of solid state storage space * 2 GB of RAM * 1.6 GHz processor * 1 micro-SD card slot to expand your storage * 3 USB ports * 1 HDMI port * 1 audio jack * 1 power port and charger * a decent screen with limited "real estate" (11.6") * Windows 10 Personal * 1 year of Office 365 WHAT YOU DON'T GET: * an optical disc drive (no CDs, DVDs, or Blu-Rays) * much processing power * a tablet mode * a touch screen * bloatware (pre-installed programs) WHAT YOU CAN DO: * stream audio and video * word processing, spreadsheets, very basic image editing * browse the web * play basic Flash-based games * check e-mail WHAT YOU CAN'T DO: * serious video editing * serious image editing (Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator) * 3d rendering * serious gaming * play an optical disc WHAT MAKES THE IDEAPAD UNIQUE? Honestly, not much distinguishes the Ideapad 110s from other netbook options on the market. At its current markdown, price is certainly one of its "features." The other is a really nice keyboard. I am a big guy with big hands, and this is a small machine with a really narrow form factor. But I can type really comfortably (and for extended periods of time) on this netbook. The keys feel great and give a satisfying "click" when you press them. Admittedly the keyboard feels a little frail towards the middle of the device, but not enough that I notice it without first really thinking about it. BOTTOM LINE: For the current price (07/21/17) of 129.99, I highly recommend this machine for students and traveling businesspeople. It has ample resources for most of the functions we associate with "work." It has enough resources for some LIGHT (and I mean very light) gaming. It does not have enough storage space, processing power, or rendering power to play the majority of STEAM store games, or to do any serious multimedia editing. If you, like me, I need a computer to take to Starbucks and to work, and if you want to spend as little as possible on your computer, then seriously consider the Lenovo Ideapad 110s. If you're on the fence about this netbook versus a comparable model, consider its major selling point to be the responsive and full-sized keyboard. Given the current discount, I recommend buying the Geek Squad extended warranty.

Great lightweight very functional Notebook
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn't want to use my high-end company laptop for personal use at home. Picked this up for $50 off and have been impressed with the keyboard which is very responsive, the battery life, the speed of booting and shutting down. Runs windows 10 pretty speedily great for surfing, email, and apps. Screen is even good enough for video watching. Sound could be louder but works great with bluetooth devices such as speakers.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fast, long battery life, excellent screen & keyboard. Light and small. Slow and poorly designed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop runs much slower than my 2 yr old Acer Chromebook. I can't stream videos or type without a delay. Scrolling is extremely difficult and it also keeps magnifying my screen in the middle of searching pages. This laptop is not worth the hassle. Great little laptop!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this for a few months now. I bought this as a smaller, lighter alternative to my bulky 15" Lenovo Yoga. I uninstalled Windows and replaced it with a lightweight Linux distribution, Xubuntu, and everything seems to work fine. I use it primarily to take notes for class, but Youtube videos and LibreOffice presentations (PowerPoint) also work fine. The full size HDMI port is also a nice bonus so you don't have to carry around adapter cables to hook it up to a monitor with an HDMI port. Definitely recommended as long as you are willing to accept its processing limitations. I'm a computer systems engineer so I was aware of the specs before purchasing the device. Opening a few tabs with large JavaScript programs in Firefox in Xubuntu will slow it down a bit, but it's not terrible. Definitely recommended for lightweight use.
