Excellent little laptop

In fact, most of us just need a medium speed laptop with good battery life that can do basic stuff, like write a letter, browse the Internet, use Evernote, etc. That's where this laptop shines. I purchased a 128GB Micro Memory card to add on. Keep in mind that this units core memory cannot be upgraded. It is stuck at 2GB, but so far that has not been an issue. It's perfect as a 2nd or 3rd, 4th etc quick laptop. Again, it is not the gaming computer, but what it is is a very capable Windows 10 laptop that has long battery life, no fan - totally solid state, WIFI --- I also purchased a USB Ethernet adaptor --- and that starts up in a lightening 20 secs!

Bang it connects with their wi fi quicker than my iPhone. Has a Windows 10 installed and can share with my other PCs easily. I do recommend this unit

Posted .This system should not update every time it starts. Be sure that the updates install completely before you turn off the device. You can turn off automatic updates within Windows 10. You will still get alerts when there is an update available, but you will be able to decide when to allow the update. This will give you the opportunity create a restore point before you allow the update and you can select when the update occurs. To change the automatic update settings in Windows 10, click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows desktop screen. Type "automatic updates" in the search window. Select "Windows Update Settings" from the list of choices. Select "Advanced options". Under "Choose how updates are installed", click on the dropdown menus and select how you want Windows updates to occur.

Posted .This is an entry level, light use system. It uses Windows 10 Home 32-Bit as its operating system, which requires less than 1GB of RAM to run. There is a 32GB solid state hard drive for quick boot up and quick loading of programs and files. If you need more storage space for device, there is a Micro-SD card slot you can use to add more storage space. This device has the latest WiFi capability, with 802.11AC connectivity. It comes with a free 1-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365. If your requirements fit this profile, this device is a good choice.

The Best Buy sales associate was very honest about the functionality of the unit so I had a good idea of what I was getting. They had a cheap HP printer that I purchased with it. Its slow, but I was told it would be. Works for what I wanted.
