It does not have a touch screen but it works well for her needs. I would not recommend this for an adult who needs a computer for Home Office situations. Make sure you get the one you truly need. Read everything. If you need a light laptop for a year or so then this is for you. But if you use tons a storage and like sims 4, don't get this laptop. I realize I'm gonna be stuck with this laptop for awhile

And I both a open box version and it was actually brand new once I opened the laptop up.

I use it primarily to play Microsoft solitaire. Adding the wireless mouse makes the perfect package. Jake, the employee by the laptops was very helpful and patient with me. Hats off to him!
