You can keep your computer running at its best by keeping the Windows 10 Operating System and all supporting BIOS files and drivers up to date. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Bad camera and S-mode problems

Then realized the camera produces grainy almost black and white appearance. So kept it after all that, but I'm not happy with it.

Lenovo is a very competitive company that competes or exceeds other makes in today's market. The AMD Ryzen 3 installed in this laptop is awesome. AMD matches or exceeds Intel processors at a much more affordable price. This laptop is built very well and very thin and light. And last, the battery is awesome. Mine has run almost 5 hours on battery power,

The computer boots up very quickly. The worst thing is a kind of mediocre camera - but it’s decent enough for the ever present Zoom meetings of the pandemic. Where o where did my first lap top go....

Ordered early, First one got as far as horsham Pennsylvania and there it sat at least on computer it’s now lost to the ages, the second one was sent with the assurance it would be here by Christmas with 2 day shipping it once again stopped at horsham, I was on it by this point and called, I was advised that it was on the way... 5 days later the box showed up and it looked like a gorilla had been handling it. The box was half ripped open and I’m surprised it was still in there... very shoddy! I haven’t used the computer yet because it’s a Xmas present but I can review the almost 4 weeks it took compared to the 4 days I was told it would take.

Unable to Switch from Microsoft S Mode

The battery last 3-4 hours approximately. My biggest issue is being unable to switch from Microsoft S Mode. I've tried every fix that I could for weeks without success. I picked it because I wanted a minimum of a Ryzen 3 or better, 8GB RAM or better, and a Solid State Drive, and I wanted Windows. and this was the best price I could find for those specs. I'm impressed by the feel of the build quality, and the size is ideal and has the number pad on the side. The system comes with the locked down version of Windows 10 on it, but it was easy to convert it to normal Windows 10. The system performance is great and I have had no issues. I do not use it for production or gaming.
