Needed a quick delivery during the WFH mandate. Works but weak graphics, audio and video. WiFi drops that need to be resolved at least 3x daily. Expected better quality/reliability but you get what you pay for!

I love it the first two weeks it worked great. Then it started making a loud sound. The first two weeks it was very quiet. I’m not sure how I can return it and get a new one with the stores closed.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your lenovo IdeaPad 15.6-Inch laptop, model number 81UT00EAUS. First, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If there are no incompatible programs installed, be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10 on the computer, then update all of the BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 10. You can easily accomplish this by using the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help. Lenovo

This is the second one. We returned the first after talking to Lenovo 3 times and having them send us a jump drive to fix the problem. It would never connect even though other computers in the house had no issues. We called Geek Squad And spent 7 hours on the phone and when we finally got connected to someone the call was dropped. Do not buy this computer. I googled the problem and there were numerous comments with people having the same issue.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the internal fan within your lenovo IdeaPad 15.6-inch laptop. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will cause the system to work harder which then causes the fan to run at maximum speed. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If I could, I’d give it a zero. After just a few months, it stopped charging and would not turn on. Sent it in for warranty repair through Geek Squad. Came back 3 weeks later and had no wi-fi function. GS gave me an external wi-fi adapter to get me through while waiting for an exchange unit to be available. While waiting, unit now finds no hard drive and doesn’t boot to Windows. Very disappointed!

Had a Mac for years so when I needed a new computer I wanted another Mac but was trying to save some money. Big mistake. First off, this thing is huge. Not heavy, but huge. The trackpad isn’t centered which makes it uncomfortable to use. The screen was awful. Dull, dark and blurry. The whole thing felt flimsy and like a kids toy. Speaker was so low and trackpad didn’t even move the icons well, let alone anything else. Suffice it to say, back it went and my new MacBook Air will be here this week!!

We are sorry to hear that you are having software issues with your Lenovo IdeaPad 15.6-inch laptop, model number 81UT00EAUS. It is possible that resetting the computer back to original factory settings, may correct the issue. Since it is difficult to read the screen, this system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the right side of the device, right near the headphone jack on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. If the problem persists after the factory reset, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

It’s a dud unfortunately. I have been having issues since the beginning. It falls asleep and locks within a minute, and then must re-enter pin. Again and again and again. The battery charges only up to 59% only. Also, Microsoft Edge blocks most apps and the pop up shows an S Mode app to download to continue but the MS warning discourages you not to because it is irreversible. I regret this purchase, have tried getting help from BestBuy agents that’s another story.

For six months the computer worked great and we were very satisfied. Then the screen quit working. It's still under warranty. I have been trying for a month to get the warranty honored and the laptop repaired AND THERE IS STILL NO ANSWER FROM LENOVO. I've called 5 times and been online countless times. SO: moral of the story, ONLY ORDER IF you plan to buy a best buy plan--otherwise DO NOT TRUST LENOVO.

Have used this laptop only a couple of times since April 2020 when it was purchased new. I recently got the blue screen of death on the laptop, which I thought were unheard of these days. Lenovo support is not helpful, there is no CD drive or recovery disc to allow me to reinstall the OS and reset the PC. I would return this hunk of junk if possible.

I was able to use this laptop for one evening before it stopped working the next day. After trying unsuccessfully to reboot it, I was told by Lenovo Support that it was "a hardware issue" and needed to send it to them to fix it. I just returned it two days later for a refund. From further reading that I have done, this is common for this laptop. Don't waste your money.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 15.6-Inch laptop, model number 81UT00EAUS, provides a full-size, 15.6-inch screen (screen size measured diagonally), but only measures a total of 14.26 x 9.90 x 0.78 inches and weighs just 4.07 lbs. The IdeaPad 15.6 is a mid-level, moderate use configuration, with its AMD Ryzen 3 3200U processor. This Dual-Core/Four-Thread processor has a base speed of 2.6GHz and a boost speed of up to 3.5GHz. This configuration has 8GB of DDR4-2400MHz RAM and a 256GB solid state hard drive. It is good with Microsoft Office type programs, internet browsing and other moderate work. This model ships with Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. We always recommend you check the requirements and compatibility of any software/games you will be installing on your new computer, before you invest in any computer. Be sure your new computer can support the software/games you will need to use. Lenovo

I got this computer earlier this year and it was a huge mistake. The computer can not be running for more that half an hour at a time. The second 30 mins is up, the computer hard resets on it own and you lose all progress on what you were working on unless you save it prior. The material is cheap and poorly put together.
