Slower than I anticipated. But it gets the job done

I got this as a gift for someone but after only 10 months the touch screen stopped working and the battery dies really fast. And it has some other issues I don’t recommend this as a gift option.

A good purchase. Good at multitasking and able to run multiple tabs at the same time. Pretty good battery life. Perfect for everyday task and perfect for college and school. Huge screen that is touchscreen. Portable. Good for playing simple games like Terraria or Geometry Dash.

It’s not a heavy-duty machine for gaming or intense video editing, but for productivity and personal use it’s plenty capable. It’s great for scrolling through web pages, browsing photos, or managing apps without always needing the touchpad. Storage & Boot Times: The 256GB SSD makes a noticeable difference — boot times are quick and programs load fast. There’s enough storage for everyday files and apps, and if you need more space you can always pair it with cloud storage or an external drive. This is great for my college courses. I am weird with laptops - I want a larger screen, a full keyboard, and I do not want or need all the bells and whistles. This fit the bill and had unexpected perks like a touch screen and more memory than I needed. It’s light, is easy to use, and I’m extremely happy with the value. If someone tries to discourage you from purchasing this because it’s not “cutting edge”, well, not all computer needs involve gaming or doing heavy graphic work. PS, run Affinity Designer on this with no problems.

I've owned a Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 14" for 2 years now and it's been average OK. Good things: the battery still lasts 3 hrs on full brightness after over 1,000 recharge cycles, the Intel iRIS graphics are good, the Intel Core 7 cpu performs well but I don't know how an i5 would go, Lenovo 24Hr support is really good and I've dealt with a number of MS update issues with them. Bad things: the plastic case is weak on the corners and the two front corners have junks chipped off them, it's quite heavy compared to similar competitor models, Lenovo still leave quality control issues to be resolved after shipping the goods for sale the camera and finger print reader didn't start working properly until after multiple firmware updates over 12 months, the "Core 7" with embedded NPU for AI tasks is a bit of a con because all the math heavy AI computing is done in the cloud, not on your PC which serves mainly to display the results. If I was to spend the same sort of $ again I would pay a little bit more and get the equivalent HP model with alloy case

Awesome laptop for the price. Its pretty fast and touch screen works great. Display is amazing for the price and i love the big screen. Very happy.

Perfect laptop for my needs. I use Microsoft Office for Word documents and Excel spreadsheets. Fast internet using chrome for searching and accessing various email accounts. I use zoom virtual meetings. I don’t see much difference in windows 11 from 10. I added an external speaker because the built in speaker volume is too low at 100%. I also purchased an inexpensive cd reader to use if needed. Overall very satisfied with speed, battery, keyboard, memory and storage.

I don't write reviews, I decided to on this one. I own many computers, pretty much know what I'm doing. Usually reluctant for new stuff but decided to dive into the windows 11 thing with this. Don't know where you will find a better deal on a laptop for general use than this. Do not get a celeron anything. I3 is a good chip. This starts up fast, has a good display for what most will use it for. I did add another 8g stick because it was less than $20. Was reluctant to get a 15.6, been using 13.3... but realized I like it, not too big , very lightweight. So, if there are negatives for certain uses, it is lightweight... not aluminum case. and light battery. In my use of Access and Excel, youtube videos, etc. it will need to be charged, I don't know 5 or so hours of "use". But charges fast. An hour maybe. You may notice reviews mentioning it coming in "S" mode. I think most windows 11 computers are now. You will probably want to search how to remove that. Also use Windows Defender, not 3rd party that comes installed.

This laptop is great for regular everyday use, student use, and more. I use discord, slack, and other type of applications and they run with no issue. Honestly, once you turn off safe mode this laptop is amazing! The battery life is pretty good too and it's light weight. It is great value for the money. 10/10 would recommend.
