We got out on sale and we couldn't have been happier with it. He loves it and the price was even more of a plus. The touch screen is a great advantage for him and the sound is way better. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new laptop.

He’s tough on his electronics and so far this is holding up better than I expected and he really enjoys the touchscreen Portion of this laptop. Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase and recommend this product.

Got it on sale and open box so for the price there was nothing better available. Decently powerful entry level processor with integrated graphics so not great for gaming. Somewhat small storage space but again, at the price i paid, i couodnt find anything better. Also touchscreen is nice to have

I had been considering getting a more expensive laptop “just in case” but I am glad I went with this one because it really works great for my usage. Its fast, has a nice screen, and works well overall.

Lenovo vs. Apple

I had no problem going from an apple computer to the Lenovo laptop. The geek department at Best Buy was so patient with a computer illiterate and I have been able to do so much more with my new laptop.

Not bad for an inexpensive laptop

Setup was quick and easy. The battery stays charged for longer than expected. The only thing that I don’t care for is that closing the lid puts it in sleep mode, and if you open it back up shortly after it doesn’t ask for your Windows pin to log back in. Kind of a security flaw. Perhaps I’ll find a solution to that issue.

Regarding sleep and locking your device, we recommend making the following adjustment in Settings to lock your device when you're away from your computer: Open the Settings app > Select the Accounts tab > Sign-in options. Under this section, if you scroll down to additional settings, you will see a couple options to lock your device when asleep or you are away from it. I have been a HP fan for years, but just needed a simple replacement for work. I don't need all the gaming capabilities. Wish we could find an affordable , everyday lap top with a DVD drive, but that does not seem to exist. The Lenova Ideapad boots up quickly and I am slowly adding apps. One thing I noticed was that Edge is the default server and to add Google, it would require turning off the "S" mode. Since I'm not entirely sure what the "S" mode is, I have not gone any further because once you turn off the "S" mode, you can't turn it back on?

Should you still need help and information -- Windows 11 Home in s-mode is a more secure, lighter version of the Windows 11 Operating System that only allows the downloading of applications from the Microsoft Store. If you try to launch or install and run an app, executable or .exe file, the system prevents it. Should you desire to switch to Windows 11 Home, yes, it is a one-way street as it generally cannot be switched back. It is in safe mode which has prevented me from using an external cd/dvd drive but I’m hesitant to change out with all the phishing and viruses. Touchscreen Is a plus and a good download rate. Highly recommend
