DO NOT BUY LENOVO LAPTOPS. THEY ARE GARBAGE.

We buy laptops for mobility & portability. For that the Wi-Fi has to work in these laptops. I bought 2 Lenovo laptops within a month. Both of them having the same problem. Wi-Fi drops every few minutes and you have to restart the laptop to get Wi-Fi to work every time. It beats the purpose of buying a laptop.

We're sorry to hear that you're having this problem with your IdeaPad laptops. To try to resolve this, first, we recommend ensuring you have the latest software by checking for updates, as this could correct the issue.
To do so, first, open the Settings app > Select the Windows update tab > Select the Check for updates button. If after the available updates are applied and the system restarts, yet the issue persists, in-depth troubleshooting will be necessary to fix the problem.
We then recommend contacting Lenovo Support here: 877-453-6686, for further assistance.

Disappointed

It was not a smooth transition from my MacBook to this one. The keys feel very cheap and the trackpad was horrible. It also delayed too much for me to use for work.

To resolve this, we recommend switching out of Windows 11 Home in S mode to standard Windows 11 Home, should you desire, to enable use of unrestricted software. Privacy Zero - Windows 11

Having to put in my email address just setting it up. A lot of privacy issue float around with Windows 11. Most disapointing Best Buy is not able to do any thing about it.

Beware of Windows 11

Windows 11 apparently has this thing called “S mode” which makes the laptop unusable in support of certain applications to download.

Prepare to have a desk top. Constantly on charger.

It doesn't even last a full day and I'm not even using it more than 2 hours. When using it you can literally watch the battery life count down, just draining. I mean other than that it's a decent laptop. I'd give it a 4 star but it's so ridiculous every time I go to reach for it is dead.

Posted .Hey LisaC, we're sorry to hear that the battery life on your IdeaPad has been poor for you. Regarding this, there are many variables that contribute to shorter battery life. Thankfully, many of those variables can be adjusted. By default, the system will tend to give more speed when needed, which can sacrifice battery life. If you want to squeeze out more battery life, we recommend users utilize the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled to adjust settings related to power and battery performance (to access relevant settings, open Vantage > Device Settings > Power). Users can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both worlds.

Wonder why your business is suffering?

Lenovo sends me the wrong Product Restore drive, then tells me that Best Buy can provide it. I have to drive 100 miles each way to find out that the Geek Squad will fix my computer in a few days (none of which they mentioned when I spoke to them about when to bring my pc in), for $100 (also not mentioned). Never buying a Lenovo, and never shopping at Besst Buy again

We're sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your experience using the IdeaPad 1i.
To try to resolve this, first, when you say you couldn't access Google, are you referring to the Google Chrome browser or the search engine? If the latter, you can adjust your preferred search engine in the Microsoft Edge browser. If the former, you will not be able to download applications like the Chrome browser without system modification.
For clarification, S mode – is a more secure, lighter version of the Windows 11 Operating System that only allows the downloading of applications from the Microsoft Store. If you try to launch or install an executable or .exe file, the system prevents it.

Disaster

The computer was in demo mode and locked with a different person’s password and username. The geek squad was no help and wants to charge me extra to fix it. I cannot access my computer. The whole thing is a disaster

Motherboard died in 6 months

Lenovo = junk with useless warranty

The laptop has issues with the wifi card and has been back to Lenovo twice with no resolution. Now I have a paperweight since the warranty is useless and I'm outside the return window. Never will touch a Lenovo again.

Manufacturing Failure

It has an issue with the screen. The brightness is always at high setting and can’t turn it down. Bring to the shop to fix and theh said it is manufacturing’s issue. Waste of money tho.

Save your money

JUNK burn in on screen brand new out of the box

Screen is burning in. Leveno will try to fix it but won't replace. Spent $300+ and have a broken computer. Never again for best buy or Leveno. This isn't the type of thing that should happen with a laptop out of the box new.

You’re going to have buyer’s remorse one way or an

Shortly after return period went on sale for $170 less ( I paid $499, now $329. Found out I could have bought some program that would have extended return period, but no exception for me. Just received another email today thanking me for being a cardholder for 17 years. I can assure you there will be no more purchases.
