    Speakers/volume are bad

    The speakers on this laptop are AWFUL!! You can not hear even when the max volume is set. We use the laptop for homeschooling and I’ve had to switch because the kids can not hear the videos. I would spend a few extra dollars to get a better one if I had to do it over again.

    I gave this to my son for a going away collage gift. He Came home July 30th from collage and the charging port is no longer working . He said during the school year it was not working properly but since he was away and needed it for school it was nothing that could be done warrenty expired 5 days before he came home. Why would it only last 1 year . This is disappoiting and I feel like a waste of money.

    Laptop won’t stay charged and I just plugged it in and tried to turn it on and heard a “spark”, it started smoking, and had the smell of something electrical burning.

    WORST laptop of my life

    Keeps disabling the wi-fi network on/off switch from task bar and disconnecting itself from wi-fi. I have spend more time without it working than with it working. Only had for one week. Purchased in the fall for Christmas gift so am stuck with this garbage. Had to go back to using my old banged up Acer with the screen hanging half-way off and it works much better than this. Will NEVER purchase a Lenovo again- ever. I feel robbed. When it was working, it was slow and lagged, the sound is horrible.

To try to resolve this, first, we recommend ensuring you have the latest software by checking for updates, as this could correct the issue. To do so, first, open the Settings app > Select the Windows update tab > Select the Check for updates button. (If switched out of Windows 11 Home S mode) Next, open the Lenovo Vantage app > on the homepage, select the Check for updates button. If after the available updates are applied and the system restarts, yet the issue persists, in-depth troubleshooting will be necessary to fix the problem.     you are gonna need to take this Sunday off because you and the family are gonna need to hop in the station wagon if they still make those or the minivan something that takes your whole family is the point and you guys are gonna have to drive on over to the local landfill and take a tour. Hop on out with little Timmy and Jenny and your wife stand next to each other with your arms over each other’s shoulders and let Dad outstretch his arm and point to the giant mountain of garbage and when they ask what is going on amongst the stench in the sunrise coming up over the steaming pile of refuse let them know,” I just wanted you guys to see where the new Lenovo laptop is gonna be in a few days after I’ve stomped it into 1 million pieces from frustration and the realization that I wasted a chunk of your college money or groceries for that matter on a steaming pile of garbage that is going to end up in a steaming pile of garbage”

    Manager Told Me This Laptop Is Cheap & Bad

    Bought for my parent so they can create and edit word documents and browse the web. That's it. The laptop freezes up if they open more then 2 word documents at the same time. Took it back to Best Buy for a resolution and they told me that this was a cheap model and it was to be expected for it to perform this way. A manager told me that. Since when is a $500 MSRP laptop cheap? And if you expect it to perform badly, why are you selling it?

    I purchased via open so I knew it was a used product After two or three days of use the screen went black and started freezing so I returned it and got a new HP LAPTOP

    Laptop keyboard and mouse pad issues

    The keys seemed a little hard and over springy when typing. Mouse box pad just right clicked only having a little bit of area for left click. And very hard to X close windows had to click on x 6 to 10 times became cumbersome.

    Bought the Laptop, 3 weeks after buying it the screen starts to flicker, was sent out to manufacturer for repair since it's outside the 2 weeks exchange window, was told that if it costs more to repair the laptop that they will not fix it, so now I may have to eat the money paid for this Laptop, was told that it may be the screen itself, I hope they can fix it

      Hi, ThaliaM. We're sorry to hear that your IdeaPad fell short for you in this respect. Regarding your issue with battery life – there are many variables that contribute to shorter battery life. Thankfully, many of those variables can be adjusted. By default, the system will tend to give more speed when needed, which can sacrifice battery life. If you want to squeeze out more battery life, we recommend users utilize the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled to adjust settings related to power and battery performance (to access relevant settings, open Vantage > Device Settings > Power). Users can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both worlds. Lenovo

    I went to return it at my local Best Buy, and all they told me was to hold on to it because they had submitted a form and a new one would be sent to me. That immediately raised red flags — why would they let me keep the wrong laptop if a replacement was truly on the way? It felt like they were just trying to avoid dealing with the issue properly.

    This is the worst computer i have ever had. I was skeptical about a Lenovo again. I just had one to crash. This one has lost sound on one side, my boss cant hear me on zoom. There is no input sound. It freezes, it lags. From the moment i had to wwit forever for help then everyone was made because i was thwre past close, to my salesman telling me i made him miss the drugstore, and now to this! I will never buy another computer from best buy again. My vompany wqs supposed to have a deal worked out with them. Nobody ever really gets it they said. Fortune 100 company, this broke worker who nearly died from COVID and flu havw had enough. Can we just have good workers and buy good products. People got so spoiled from virtual we forgot how to treat people? I have no idea what to do. Nobody cares if your purchase was not right. Nobody cares you cant even get a computer on credit.

    Worst laptop

    I purchased this laptop for my niece for school back in July by August it would not load, and it was too late to return it. Took it to the Geek Squad and they kept it for a week, to reinstall Windows. They still couldn’t fix it, so they had to send it off because the motherboard needed to be replaced. This is the worst laptop I’ve ever purchased and per Best Buy’s policy they can’t give me my money back.
