I was not satisfied with this device, I see 2 problems - 1. When I try to play some 4K videos I was left with a blank screen and I have to restart the machine. 2. The machine restarts in middle of the work, that too I was working with some online applications not installing any stand alone apps.

I got this computer cause my last one was glitching really badly but this one is barely any better. Bought it for school but the battery only lasts and hour after being fully charged even with battery saver on. It keeps restarting and closing out all my tabs and windows for school so I'm constantly having to reopen the same tabs and it continuously kicks me off of every wi-fi. I barely use it because of how bad it is and yet it says I'm out of storage when I store next to nothing on here.

Hey AneA, we're sorry to hear that you're having such trouble with your IdeaPad. To help resolve this issue, for now, we recommend following these troubleshooting steps: 1. Perform a static discharge/power cycle. To do so, first remove all cables connected to the device (power adapter, HDMI, external mouse, external keyboard, etc.). 2. Be sure device is powered off, then. press and hold the power button down for 60 seconds. When done, re-attach all cables and insert the power adapter, letting the laptop charge for a couple minutes, then power up the machine as usual. 3. Try to update the drivers on the Lenovo Support site: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/. Type the machine serial number (S/N) on the search bar. Hit enter to search the details regarding that unit. Click on the Drivers and Software tab, head to the Manual Update tab. Filter the Operating System drop-down to Windows 11 and proceed to downloading / updating the drivers. Restart your laptop when updates are done. If your issue persists after these steps, we then recommend contacting Lenovo Support directly at this number: 855-253-6686, to work with a representative for more in-depth troubleshooting. Lenovo

The laptop’s fan is really loud. It doesn’t help that windows has this annoying feature where if you click on a tab even slightly it’ll drag it with the cursor.

I am never buying Lenovo laptops ever again. Big mistake. We buy laptops for mobility & portability. For that the Wi-Fi has to work in these laptops. I bought 2 Lenovo laptops within a month. Both of them having the same problem. Wi-Fi drops every few minutes and you have to restart the laptop to get Wi-Fi to work every time. It beats the purpose of buying a laptop.

I bought this laptop 2 months ago, and the display screen already stopped working. I purchased the Premium Care warranty with onsite support, but I was told to mail in my device to the depot for repairs, despite having onsite support warranty. Even after depot repair, the screen problem continued, and they want me to mail it in again. I would not recommend this product, or Lenovo.

The battery on this laptop is complete trash!! It doesn't even last a full day and I'm not even using it more than 2 hours. When using it you can literally watch the battery life count down, just draining. I mean other than that it's a decent laptop. I'd give it a 4 star but it's so ridiculous every time I go to reach for it is dead.

Hey LisaC, we're sorry to hear that the battery life on your IdeaPad has been poor for you. Regarding this, there are many variables that contribute to shorter battery life. Thankfully, many of those variables can be adjusted. By default, the system will tend to give more speed when needed, which can sacrifice battery life. If you want to squeeze out more battery life, we recommend users utilize the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled to adjust settings related to power and battery performance (to access relevant settings, open Vantage > Device Settings > Power). Users can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both worlds. Lenovo

      Hey Howard,

We're sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your experience using the IdeaPad 1i.

To try to resolve this, first, when you say you couldn't access Google, are you referring to the Google Chrome browser or the search engine? If the latter, you can adjust your preferred search engine in the Microsoft Edge browser. If the former, you will not be able to download applications like the Chrome browser without system modification.

For clarification, S mode – is a more secure, lighter version of the Windows 11 Operating System that only allows the downloading of applications from the Microsoft Store. If you try to launch or install an executable or .exe file, the system prevents it.

Should you desire to switch to Windows 11 Home to download the software of your choosing, here is a link to a Microsoft webpage that shares how to do so: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-and-windows-11-in-s-mode-faq-851057d6-1ee9-b9e5-c30b-93baebeebc85

Now regarding battery life, if you want to squeeze out more battery life, we recommend utilizing the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled to adjust settings related to power and battery performance (to access relevant settings, open Vantage > Device Settings > Power). You can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both worlds.

Hey, AndreA. We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble. To resolve this, we recommend switching out of Windows 11 Home in S mode to standard Windows 11 Home, should you desire, to enable use of unrestricted software. Here's a link to a Microsoft Support webpage (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/switching-out-of-s-mode-in-windows-4f56d9be-99ec-6983-119f-031bfb28a307) to learn about how to do so. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience so that we may continue to better our users' experiences. Lenovo

Worst purchase only because of Windows 11. Windows 11 apparently has this thing called “S mode” which makes the laptop unusable in support of certain applications to download.

Between Best Buy and Lenovo, you couldn't spell customer service, let alone practice it. Lenovo sends me the wrong Product Restore drive, then tells me that Best Buy can provide it. I have to drive 100 miles each way to find out that the Geek Squad will fix my computer in a few days (none of which they mentioned when I spoke to them about when to bring my pc in), for $100 (also not mentioned). Never buying a Lenovo, and never shopping at Besst Buy again
