Inexpensive, feels and performs like it

I'm not sure this was the best choice. On the plus side, it was easy and cheap to add 16 gigs of memory and a 1TB HD. It comes with little in the realm of bloatware, outside of McAfee which is the first thing to uninstall anyways. The big silver surface of the lid is fairly boring but lends itself to a skin if that bothers you. On the downside, the keyboard is mushy and gives little feedback, and generally unpleasant to type on with its shift to the left to accommodate the unneeded number pad. The sound is truly abysmal: if you need to hear outside a quiet room, you'll need a bluetooth speaker. The Lenovo recovery media build is just awful, so make sure you build the recovery with the Windows tool instead. Six hours of battery life is the biggest lie, it is more like 2 to 3 hours at even the lightest usage. And considering the battery life, the worst part is the inclusion of 2 USB ports, but neither can be used to charge: you're stuck with an old fashioned barrel connector, which in 2024, is an absolute joke.

keyboard not working
