It was delivered on 9/5 - unboxed on 9/6 and returned on 9/9. I purchased this brand because I am a teacher and use this brand of computers for work. Unfortunately this computers web cam / camera never worked. I worked for hours trying to figure it out. Thought I fixed it but the following morning when my daughter logged in to do her morning meeting the camera wasn’t detected again. Best Buy couldn’t fix it - they couldn’t find me another computer in this price range & I couldn’t wait 6-8 weeks for it to be fixed according to a 1800 # I was provided. Really disappointing and has caused me more stress , anxiety & aggravation then I’d like to admit.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you had issues with the webcam on your Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14 Laptop, model number 81W0009DUS. This model ships with a 720p (HD) webcam with manual Privacy Shutter built in. Be sure you open the Privacy Shutter before you use the webcam or the camera will not work. There is a small tab, directly above the webcam lens, slide this tab to the right to open the Privacy Shutter. There is a red dot over the webcam lens that will disappear when the Privacy Shutter is completely open. This indicates that the webcam is ready to use. If the issue continues, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

Lenovo support was useless. Laptop started having issues about 15 days after ownership.

Posted .The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14 Laptop ships with an internal battery that is not user accessible. If your computer is only charging to 50-60-percent of the battery capacity, Battery Conservation Mode is most likely turned on. This power management setting should only be used for laptops that will be plugged in all the time. The software will prolong overall battery life by only allowing the battery to charge to 50-60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode:
