Posted .The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14 Laptop, model number 81W000NGUS, ships with Windows 10 S-Mode 64-bit Operating System, factory installed and is able to be upgraded to either Windows 10 S-Mode or if you switch out of Windows 10 S-Mode, you can upgrade to Windows 111 Home 64-bit Operating System. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. If you choose to switch out of S-Mode for Windows 10 Home: Here is a link to instructions for switching from Windows 10 S-Mode to Windows 10 Home: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4456067/windows-10-switch-out-of-s-mode

All efforts to get it to connect to my modem have failed and Lenovo is absolutely no help whatsoever in correcting this problem. I thought Lenovo was a good company and product but I'm sadly mistaken. I'm hoping that maybe I'll get some help from Bestbuy although at this point I have little confidence in them either.

The IdeaPad 3 14 ships with 5G, Wide-Range/High Speed, 2x2 802.11AC frequency WiFi, which is also backward compatible to older, a/b/g/n frequency WiFi. I wish I'd paid more attention to it not having a lighted keyboard but thats on me. Laptop functions well for everyday tasks a well as streaming movies & downloading files.
I would recommend this to a friend Cheap, broke easy with no misuse or abuse.
