He loved the gift and it's a perfect laptop for easy tasks. I won't recommend this laptop suitable for any heavy work. But overall this laptop does what it's made for!

I love the touch screen feature. I wish it was able to fold back to use the touch screen easier. And the battery doesn’t last that long. Or maybe it does an time just flies while I’m on it. But all in all it’s still a great laptop for what I need. Would definitely recommend.

This model ships with a 2CELL_35WH_INTERNAL, Lithium Polymer Battery, which within this configuration, has a battery life of up to 7 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, first, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 10 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-apps-running-background-windows-10. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. It has exceeded all my expectations. I read one review that said it was constantly updated and I haven’t found that to be true at all. Just buy it, you won’t be disappointed.

It works well for us, but of course is a little slower than an i5 processor. Probably not great for intense games, but fine for basic use.

Boots quickly and runs the games well. The only issue was a snafu with the delivery. I recommend better tracking information for quick shipments. This doesn't take away from the performance of the computer.

I use it for loading new firmware in my optics, viewing sd cards, just basically hunting and reloading needs. I really like the touch screen. Would've given it 5 stars but to give it that I feel I would have to do more with it.

Hands down the best dollar for dollar laptop out there. 11th gen i5, 12gb ram, and 256SSD for under $700. And a Dell to boot. Well made and runs better than expected. Its a no frills laptop but will out perform anything else in this price range.

I read some reviews that others were complaining of the quality of the screen. I watch movies on it and I see it just fine. Having the touch screen is a plus. The blue color is nice too.

Display is fine. Speed is good considering I don't run graphics heavy apps. Couldn't be any happier. BTW, setup was a breeze and took about five minutes.

Has both a touch pad and touch screen. Sometimes the touch pad is sensitive on some of its features (screen expansion) which may cause a challenge if owners manual hasn’t been read. Long battery usage.

You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

Met my needs for basic paperwork, checking emails and printing invoices. Like to touch screen and the number keypad on the right side. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. Additionally, this IdeaPad 3 15 Laptop ships with just two adware programs, a 30-day trial of Microsoft Office 365 (as part of Windows 10 operating system) and a 30-day trial of McAfee virus protection.
