Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost.

Good for the price

Also, the bottom corners of the laptop are very sharp and make it uncomfortable to use the laptop on your lap or while lying in bed. This is a laptop that's best used hooked up to an external display with a wireless keyboard & mouse, in my opinion, to get around the poor display and the slightly uncomfortable form factor. The keyboard of this laptop is average, and the inclusion of the 10-key is nice, but the keys still feel a bit mushy and don't offer much feedback or travel.

All the edges including the corners of this IdeaPad 3 15, are beveled for a comfortable feel. This model ships with a standard QWERTY keyboard with 10-Key Numeric Pad included. The touchpad is centered under the QWERTY keys for easy access by the typist with hands in the Home Position on the keyboard. A comfortable 2mm key travel and a fast spring action by the keys make for a comfortable typing experience.

Offered me the best option for my needs and explained why it was the best. ALSO it was not the most expensive. He walked me over to the checkout, made sure I was being quickly helped. I had brought my old laptop with me and the tec. Oh this wonderful Geek, got me squared away, moved the date from the old laptop to the new one and had my new computer ready to start working in two hours. I had expected it to take 4-5 days to have the data uploaded. An all-round wonderful experience.
