This model ships with Windows 10 S-Mode 64-bit Operating System. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost.

This is the first time we were disappointed in our experience at Best Buy, though. We added the Office and Student package as well as the Webroot security and service protection which are not insignificant costs. After about a week, my wife tries to charge the computer and the wrong charger was included; in the original plastic bag in the original box. I took it back and the employee I talked to insinuated that it had to be our fault. Of course they used the charger when the adds were downloaded, but the tech would have put it back in the box. When I suggested that maybe the tech put the wrong charger back in the box by mistake, he said that wasn’t possible. And that we should call Lenovo and get them to warranty it. We just bought one on Amazon, but we’re just really disappointed in the total lack of help.

In the future, I will be buying Lenovo. I even invested in a Lenovo desktop with two screens. My only complaint is battery life could be better.
