Lenovo - Great Experience

It is working as planned for our home and my job as an online teacher. Some things that I love. The finger print power switch. The computer seems more durable than others in reviews suggested. Battery life has been good as I work unplugged for hours at a time. The touch screen is good, but I use it much less than I thought I would. Set-up was really great. One hick-up that the Geek Squad quickly resolved was that the touch screen drivers were not set up. I recommend this computer for those considering a laptop with an i5 processer.

You can keep your IdeaPad 3 15 running at its best, find hardware errors and easily correct them by using the Lenovo Vantage Utility software installed on this computer. We recommend that you check to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11 on the computer regularly. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 11. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If you have questions about your Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 Laptop, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

Good laptop at a good price point

A nice compromise between the 13-inch and the 17-inch laptops. Good specs. Screen is pretty good. Backlit keys and fingerprint sign-in are very convenient. The touch pad has a smoother feel than my previous laptop--not my favorite but it works. The only thing I don't care for is the placement of the pageup/pagedown keys. I use them a lot in my work and they're not reachable or even visible from my home position on the keys so I'm still having to take my right hand off and hunt for them. I haven't paid attention to battery life so can't comment on that.

The battery life also isn’t as great.

Posted .This Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 Laptop, model number 82H801DQUS, ships with Windows 11 S-Mode, 64-bit Operating System installed. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. This model also ships with a Integrated 45Wh, Lithium-Polymer Battery, which within this model configuration, has a battery life of up to 7 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. We always recommend you check the requirements and compatibility of any software/games you will be installing on your new computer, before you invest in any computer. Be sure your new computer can support the software/games you will need to use and your workload.

I've only had it for a week now and I'm so happy I got this one instead. It starts up and shuts down very quickly. I'm not on it as much as full time user, so the battery stays charged for almost 3 days for me(light usage). I use it to look up construction drawings, send emails, internet searches, and compose spreadsheets and documents. Speed is great, but I'm not doing too much at once. Screen picture is pretty vibrant and the colors really pop.For my purposes, it works great.

Here's a tip for making your fingerprint reader work every time: Try lightly sliding your finger over the fingerprint reader. No need to press hard on the reader, in fact pressing hard on the fingerprint reader will distort your fingerprint and cause read errors.
