This model configuration ships with a Integrated 45Wh, Lithium-Polymer Battery, which within this model configuration has a battery life of up to 7 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. This IdeaPad 3 15 Laptop ships with a 30-day trial of Microsoft Office 365 included as part of the Windows 10 operating system. To keep the program active after the trial period, you will need to purchase a product key. You will not need to download any additional software. If you are getting substantially less battery life, first, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. The keyboard lights up nicely and the computer runs very well overall. The laptop setup was super simple. Windows 11 takes a little bit of getting used too. I would highly recommend this laptop for anyone looking for a basic laptop with a touchscreen.

Lenovo Ideapad 3 is a great purchase

It's easy to use, fast, plenty of memory/RAM and just all around great. The only complaint I have is with the software for the touchscreen. A lot of times it'll just stop working and I have to go into the settings and deactivate it then reactivate it in order to get it to start working again.

A really nice laptop after a whole bunch of fixup!

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.While it's an exceptionally good looking laptop and very fast, it is up-ended by the small SSD size in relation to the RAM size and the dreaded "S-Mode" Windows 11 operating system. The first thing I did was pop off the bottom, replace the 8GB module with a 4GB module for 8GB RAM (because 12GB is a overkill IMHO), replace the 256GB SSD with a 512GB SSD (now I have balance!) and load it with Windows 10 Home (in S-Mode) then killed the S-Mode. After downloading and installing drivers from Lenovo's website, I now had a super-fast, tried-and-true operating system with good RAM and SSD balance. The cost of the 512GB was offset by the addition of 4GB of RAM to my spare parts arsenal. So, for $450 (what I paid for it) I had a rocking sweet, very fast touchscreen Windows 10 laptop. Exactly what I was looking for.

But the trackpad could be improved, but I prefer using a mouse anyway. 4gb of 12gb is soldered ram. 8gb could be upgraded to 16gb with total ram equal 20gb for this specific model. Remember to reset CMOS after installing ram upgrade.
