Wasn't too sure about this brand. sales associate said it was a good buy. My son said it faster, easy to use lightweight doesn't have extra plastic around the screen fit perfectly in his backpack. Has windows 11.

This model ships with a Integrated 45Wh, Lithium-Polymer Battery, which within this model configuration has a battery life of up to 7 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, first, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery Charge Threshold is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. You can turn off Battery Charge Threshold within the Lenovo Vantage APP installed on this computer. In Vantage select Battery Settings and turn off Battery Charge Threshold, if turned on. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 11 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://websiteforstudents.com/how-to-find-what-is-running-in-windows-11/. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 11. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of your Windows 11 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

Posted .We are sorry for the confusion. The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 Laptop, model number 82H801DQUS, ships with Windows 11 S-Mode 64-bit Operating System factory installed. This model also has the latest WiFi-6 2 x 2 802.11ax frequency WiFi built in, which, when used with a compatible WiFi-6, 802.11ax frequency router, will deliver internet speeds equal to, if not faster than a wired connection. Although this laptop does not have a built in ethernet port, you can connect this laptop to an ethernet network cable, but it will require adding a USB to ethernet adapter, which is sold separately, like this one: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-usb-to-ethernet-adapter-white/6418345.p?skuId=6418345

Most enjoyable was the college student and sales person at the store in Albany, NY. He actually listened to me and asked the right questions. Great personality!! He is a keeper :)

It comes with Windows 11 S, which is pretty stupid, because it has the specs to run Home or Pro just fine. We ran the S-upgrade app out of the Microsoft Store to take it out of S-mode and it does what we need it to!

If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 11 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. The only thing we are a little sketpic is about the Windows 10 S mode. It only limits you to get Windows apps which I think is not very practical. You can remove it but safety will be compromised, hhmmm?

I like the fingerprint touch thing. I wish it had the glowy keys. It has intelligent thermal with FN+Q! There's two cute shiny stickers that say "core," and "iRIS!" Would buy again...top notch!

Going from a larger screen to a smaller screen was something I worried about but after seeing it and playing it, it was worth it. It runs my games (Sims 4) and my office work very well.

Used it for a week-long Zoom conference, and it held up well. Battery was good for about 4 consecutive zoom hours, no overheating, good picture, sound, and processes at lightning speed. Loving it!

Lenovo Laptop for Home Use

So far good battery life. No lagging with multilple apps open at same time. Lightweight even with the larger screen and larger keyboard with number keypad. Easy to travel with.
