I knew it wouldn’t be anything special but it could barely run even the most simple games. But that was my fault, I didn’t do much research before purchasing.

An absolute steal at $429.99

At $429.99 (at Thanksgiving), this Lenovo IdeaPad 3i was an absolute steal; I had honestly committed to buying it on the specs and price, without realizing it was also a touchscreen. The 11th gen Intel quad i5-1135G7 is blazing fast (2.4 ghz), the standard 12g of RAM was surprising, and the 256g SSD is speedy as well. The backlit keyboard is a huge asset for Dad, the 15.6" display is beautiful, and the Wifi 6 is fast and solid with a respectable range. Easy setup. Arctic grey finish is beautiful. Other features include Windows 11, fingerprint scanner, USB-C & 2 USB As, and bluetooth. The touchscreen is fun and responsive, but I haven't enough experience with them to make comparisons. This laptop does NOT have an optical drive, ethernet port, or Thunderbolt, none of which is an issue for me. The build is solid enough, since it basically serves as a desktop, All in all, for the price, Dad got a great laptop and I'm pretty jealous. This is the first Lenovo I have purchased, and I am very impressed.

It is fast, supports a lot of apps and security updates are always running.

It is perfect for exactly what I need it for, and performs functions super fast. The display is crisp and clear, and the backlit keyboard is a great feature. I love how lightweight it is. My only complaint is that the plug comes out really easily and falls out a lot.

We went to Best Buy to purchase a new computer. This one seemed to fill the bill price wise. :) My wife like it - she says that is much faster than her old one. The Geek Squad made the change over EASY. I am a member and they transferred all data from the hard drive in a day.

I have owned it for 3 months now and can't complain. It's not for heavy gaming, but for day-to-day... watching videos, photo editing, going online... it's wonderful... very quick for the price.

But i used it for some college classes. The touchscreen is awesome. The battery life is great also. We have absolutely no issues with this laptop. Absolutely Love it.

I purchased this for work for myself and my husband and it works flawlessly. I did deactivate S mode which was easy so I may be able to get my work done. The flow of the system and sensitivity for the touchscreen are amazing. I would definitely recommend.

Windows 11 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 11 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. Several of them seem to have very little knowledge about computer operation. Others seem to want thousand dollar laptop performance in one priced at half that. What I can say is that the 11th generation I-5 processor, SSD, full HD touchscreen display, backlit keyboard, nice 12GM of RAM, and countless other features make this a terrific unit for the price, particularly the excellent sale price for which I obtained it at Best Buy. It is a pleasure to operate, is beautifully fast, and even better that my year old, slightly earlier model of basically the same Lenovo computer. Unless you are a serious gamer or video editor, or put a great deal of strain on your hardware, this is all the computer and then some that you will need. I am extremely happy with this purchase, and look forward to using it for a very long time.

Fancy little fast laptop

I do enjoy the speed and the already updated Windows 11. The battery capacity limit feature and the touch screen are well added touches as well. I have not experienced the hinge issue that others have reported. I will say the battery tends not to last as long as I would like though.

This model configuration ships with a Integrated 45Wh, Lithium-Polymer Battery, which within this model configuration, has a battery life of up to 7 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, first, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 10 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-apps-running-background-windows-10. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

It has more RAM than other computers that I compared it to for the same price. Oh yeah, did I say the price was great. I'm really thrilled with this purchase. My previous Lenovo was not a touch screen, so I'm really enjoying that usage.

Everything works great and fast, I love the touchscreen and I like how snappy it feels, I don't do much processing but mainly learning Linux language, browsing, watching a few movies and watch youtube pretty good device for the price.
