I wanted a laptop for downstairs so I wouldn't have to always go upstairs to use desktop PC. I like to do genealogy and this gives me more motivation to do just that whenever I want to. As an "older" person the one thing I couldn't get used to was the built in mouse pad. Solved that problem by getting a wireless mouse.
