Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 Laptop, model number 81WE011UUS. This model ships with a 30-day trial of McAfee Virus Protection Software installed. After the 30-day trial period you will need to purchase an annual subscription to keep McAfee active on the computer. You do not need to use McAfee. You can uninstall McAfee and either use the free Windows Defender that is part of Windows 10 or uninstall McAfee an then install your own choice of 3rd party Virus Protection Software. The key is to uninstall McAfee first if you are not going to use McAfee after the trial period, as there can only be one active VPS on the computer at a time.
