Wanted to like it, but....

The computer itself was fine, but the battery life was awful right from the get-go. It wasn't just mine, my husband & I bought the same laptop at the same time & both are like this. 100% charged it will say 4+ hours left and within 20 minutes it will say you have less than an hour left & the battery is way down. Not impressed!

Consider this: This is the same 10th gen i3 Intel processor, RAM size, and SSD hard drive size on the $1000 Apple Macbook Air. Now the screen on the Macbook air is much higher resolution but I could buy 3 of these Lenovo laptops and have money left over for a nice dinner. I bought this for my daughter in middle school and it works well for her needs.

Not worth it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t know how to feel about this laptop, to start off it does not keep battery for long. I have charged it so many times within the past few days even though I haven’t used it for long periods of time. Another thing is the camera is black and white and you can’t change it to normal color. I find this weird because I’ve never had a laptop do this. I bought this for school because it’s mostly virtual this year and thought the camera would be good on it but nope it’s blurry and black and white. I don’t like it because it makes it seem as if I put a filter on and it’s just odd so it is really not worth the price.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 Laptop. This mode ships with a 720p (HD) webcam with manual Privacy Shutter and Dual Array microphone built in. Be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10 on your computer, then update all of the BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 10. Here is a link to instructions for updating your operating system: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/update-windows-10-3c5ae7fc-9fb6-9af1-1984-b5e0412c556a. With regard to the battery life within this model. There is a 2CELL_35WH_INTERNAL, Lithium Polymer Battery installed, with a battery life of up to 7 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 10 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-apps-running-background-windows-10. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. The most I have gotten is 3.75 hrs. with a full charge and I haven't installed any apps. only the security app. that came with it. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the battery issue.

Turns out it was a fortunate accident - this is a great laptop for my needs! Highly impressed with the speed. The display could be better, but it is still worth the price and then some....

My only issue, it does feel a bit "cheap"... (but it is...) so what else would I truly expect? The keyboard is taking me a bit of time to get used to with the 10-key side feature (which is kinda nice also). I would ONLY buy this when it is on sale for $299, it's a bargain.

Great Value and Hi Res screen

I got tired of looking at sub 500.00 dollar laptops with 1366 resolution. The intel i3 is not perfect but for my purposes it does just fine.. At the sale price of less than 340.00 its a bargain
