I tried every troubleshooting and diagnosis recommended on the Microsoft and Lenovo website, including a complete reinstall of Windows. Still no sound. So I called Lenovo support. A customer service agent told me a technician would call back in a few days. So Lenovo support expects you to stay by your computer for the next several days until such unspecified time as they may call back. So essentially, so support from Lenovo. Fortunately, I was still within the Best Buy return period, so I exchanged my Lenovo laptop for another. The next one worked fine. One feature I might miss is lack of an Ethernet port. I find that many hotel rooms have lousy wi-fi, but often an Ethernet Jack in a the room is available as an alternative. That option is not available with this model.

Vantage can scan both the software and hardware within your computer, diagnose any issues, whether hardware or software and recommend a fix. If the device is connected to the internet, Vantage can download any needed updates to either Windows 10 or the supporting BIOS and drivers. I've had it for a few months now and one of the biggest frustrations is that it locks up for no reason. Once I do a force power off it goes back to normal, but seems weird that a new computer would do that with no external software installed because of S Mode.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System freezing on this laptop. Even if you have not switched out of S-Mode, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

My first Lenovo and I am loving it. I like the features, price, style and numbers pad. Pad is very convenient to use. Very light, plus I like the color. Size of the screen for me is just right. We got this on sale and it is worth every penny. I wouldn't suggest it for any gaming but outside of that, this is a great laptop. The kid uses it for school since they are doing remote learning and she hasn't had any crashes. She will have zoom and about a dozen Chrome tabs going at the same time and it still has room for more.

Awesome Price on Laptop

I had been looking at other stores & online. The week before I went into Best Buy in Lynchburg, VA & the laptop was more than I wanted to pay for it. Glad I went online that Tuesday morning before I went to work & found out the laptop was very much in my price range.

It was super easy to switch it from windows s to windows home edition. Videos have looked good on the screen and browsing is smooth. I wish the battery life was better but for the price, it’s a great device for around the home if you’re just streaming and browsing.

But she has explored its many features and has since become more tech savvy. this laptop is easy to use very fast and sufficient storage for all of her photos, videos and music. This is a perfect middle of the road, affordable laptop.

I was on a budget, but wanted a good laptop. This is an amazing laptop. With this Levono laptop you are getting a lot of power and memory for the price. It's a beautiful picture, responsive keypad and fast. I've had mine for awhile and love it. Very happy with my purchase.

It would take 10 minutes or longer to be useable. After much research and some BestBuy store visits, I chose this model Lenovo and I’m very glad I did. The only downside for me was, it didn’t come with a CD/DVD reader, so I purchased a independent CD/DVD reader/writer.
