However the login procedure is a bit complicated for those not used to newer technology. I bought this computer for my 90 year old mother so she's having some trouble going from an old laptop to a new one using Windows 10. However the computer itself works nicely.

Privacy shutter on webcam is a great idea. The camera could use a bit higher resolution. I'm not happy with some of the software installed. Overall, I would (and have) definitely recommend this computer to my friends.

I would donor again in a second at this price. This thing rocks for the cost compared to other laptops of you get it on sale like what I got it for. Another one similar won’t come within a couple extra hundred bucks, even while that other one may be on sale.

The only thing needed for me to give it a 5 star rating is a better screen resolution. But it’s well priced and no complaints there. You can’t go wrong by buying this computer here. Touchscreen on this Lenovo computer is very fast and responsive.

Touch screen is so convenient, I didn't think it was going to be something I would necessarily want but now I don't think I will want one without it. There is however an occasional delay when you switch back to the mouse from touchscreen. Overall good value for the money.

Posted .Hi Oscar. The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15" laptop model # 81WE00NKUS ships with a 2CELL 35WH Lithium Polymer battery with an estimated life of up to 7.5 hours. If you are getting substantially less battery life, please adjust your screen brightness settings. A setting of 100% brightness will drain your battery much faster than a lower setting. We recommend setting the screen brightness to some value below 100% that is still comfortable for you to view. Next be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 10 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-apps-running-background-windows-10. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

Only issue I found was that screen brightness control sometimes does not work and had to restart the laptop in order to work again.

He is a huge computer buff, he told me that the specs on the machine is fantastic, he likes that the screen is a really great, clear, sharp display. He also likes how thin the laptop is, it isn’t too heavy, so mobility around the classroom won’t be a problem. He tested the Wi-Fi adapter and he said it was okay for a classroom. 10/10 classroom, home, or office laptop. Nice purchase for college students, or everyday use.

Missing a backlit keyboard, but it's not a deal-breaker. For the sale prices, the build is top of the line, the SSD is above average for size and the processor excels with a clean Windows install. The additional RAM sets it apart for performance. Highly recommended machine.

Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. Replaced my 10 year old laptop and had no idea what I was missing! The top screen/tablet mode is fun but I find it unnecessary. . . or at least I haven’t found a use for it. Best Buy staff recommended this as a great laptop and is definitely hasn’t disappointed! Highly recommend!
