It handles the demands of zoom meetings and multi-tasking. It is nice looking and surprisingly lightweight for it's size. I can recommend this to almost all users.

I have no complaints about it. The finger scan unlock is cool and the 10 keypad was a most have. This has been great to use for school.

Posted .The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17 laptop, model number 81WF004CUS, will boot from off to the Windows 10 Desktop Screen in less than 40-seconds. If you are experiencing slower boot times, even if you have switched out of S-Mode, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

Windows 10 takes a little getting used to after using Windows 7 for so long. MS Office is different as well with the cloud thing. Once set up it is useful but I will need some hand holding I think

Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. This model also ships with a 30-day trial of Microsoft Office 365 included as part of the Windows 10 operating system. In order to keep the program active after the trial period, you will need to purchase a product key. You will not need to download any additional software. To learn your way around Windows 10, you may want to try YouTube.com (just type that address in your browser address window). There are hundreds for free instructional videos there about Windows 10. Just type Windows 10 Introduction in to the YouTube search window. You can watch free videos there that will show you the basics all the way up to tips and tricks videos and they're all free.

S-Mode is a Nuisance

I can't use any of my school software and yes I know I can switch out if S mode but that doesn't help a lot when my screen says "working on it" for hours. Hours I would rather be working on assignments as a graduate student.

After a couple trips to Geek Squad, it was replaced with a new one. I picked it up today, and thanks to Geek Squad in particular, Connor, it is working great so far!
