this laptop is so fast and very smooth keyboard. it is lightweight and very user friendly. set up was very easy and the price was great... much less expensive than similar models. very quick shutdown and size is perfect. would recommend this to anyone and am even thinking about buying another one to replace my other laptop. the screen brightness is fine and it quickly moves from one website to the next. the setup was a breeze and we had it up and running in only about 10 minutes. lenovo has produced an excellent product in this laptop and i would recommend it to anyone.

This laptop is peppy, starts up quickly, web pages load fast. 5 stars where that is concerned. I have to take some responsibility for my disappointment that makes my rating a 4 star instead of 5 stars. I didn't do my research. Much to my surprise this laptop runs with Windows 10 S, not a traditional Windows 10 platform. Windows 10 S only allows the user to download apps available from the Windows Store. I previously used the Firefox browser, but now am forced to use Microsoft Edge. I previously used Open Office for my word processing and spreadsheet needs, now I am forced to a yearly subscription version of Microsoft Office. My inexpensive laptop just cost me an additional $100 a year. I was told at a private computer shop that I could "probably" upgrade to a full version of Windows 10 so that I could use Firefox and Open Office, but the computer would "probably" experience some slow downs. Microsoft did include a little flyer in the laptop box that warned me that if I abandoned Windows 10 S that I could never switch back to it. So did I want to risk messing up my brand new laptop? Nope. So for awhile anyways, I will enjoy my peppy new laptop with the limitations that it came with. Again, I should have done my research more carefully. If I would have realized I was getting these limitations, I may have picked a different model.

I needed a new computer. This model turned out to be excellent.
It met all my needs perfectly. It has a sufficient amount of memory. The speed is fine, too. It is lighter in weight than my former model, which is an advantage when moving it or transporting it in a laptop case. The screen has nice resolution which is a positive feature. This computer was a great choice.

I bought this to replace a Chromebook that I had for a couple of years. My review will be mostly complaints, but overall I think this is a decent laptop although I'm sure there are better ones at this price I regret not shopping around more.
My biggest complaint is the battery life. I've tweaked the wireless setting (turned of Bluetooth, turn down monitor brightness, killed and uninstalled bloatware sucking up power, etc.) but this thing still runs out of power very quickly. Which is sad considering that this has an SDD. I am currently typing this from the laptop right now. I've been using it for less than two hours and I'm already on Battery Saver mode. The other night I was down to less than 30 estimate minutes of usage and less than 5 minutes later it autoshut down on me without even giving me a warning.
Also the display isn't that great. The resolution tops out a 1366 x 768. Yeah I know, I should have researched this better and I would have noticed that.
Like I wrote before, if you have to buy this then you could do worse. But you could probably do a lot better for the price. And don't forget to bring your charging cord if you take this anywhere because it will burn through its battery fast.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 330s-15 laptop ships with a 2CELL 30WH, Lithium Polymer Battery, with a battery life of up to 7 hours, depending on the work that the device is performing. To maximize battery life, first adjust your battery saver settings. Here is a link to instruction for doing this in Windows 10: https://www.digitalcitizen.life/how-use-configure-battery-saver-windows-10. Next, to maximize battery life, be sure there are no unwanted programs running in the background, draining the battery. Here is a link to some tips for finding out what is draining your battery: https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/battery-saver-windows-10. Also, to maximize battery life, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life. Finally, if the battery life does not improve, a battery reset may help. Here is a link to instructions for reconditioning a non-removable battery, using the Battery Management Software installed on the computer. A definite upgrade to my old Toshiba satellite that has outlived it's usefulness. My first SSD hard drive laptop and all I can say is WOW! Wished it had more storage, but it should be fine as a dedicated laptop for school work. I'll probably upgrade to a 500gb SSD eventually. Purchased two of these, one for me and one for my wife. Caught it on a "deal of the day".

I got this computer because my old Dell was sooo slow. This Lenovo is excellent, it’s fast and light weight. The set up is super simple and the navigation on the computer is as well. The only complaint I have is the battery life isn’t great but it’s good enough especially for the price!

I was looking for a low cost laptop with decent performance and this Lenovo 330s has exceeded those expectations! The store salesman said Lenovo was crap and I should look at HP. I've been in IT for 30+ years and HP computers & laptops have always been junk, so I went with Lenovo and it seems to have been a good decision. Although the system is quick with the SSD you'll want to up the RAM by 8Gb (there's a single DDR4 SODIMM slot) from 4Gb to 12Gb asap. Long term reliability is up in the air but initial impression and Lenovo's long history in the pc industry is on their side.

Excellent computer for the price point. Handles all tasks well. Crisp, clean graphics. Only slight con is battery life, not bad (3-4 hrs per charge), but a bit less than I have come to expect. If you don't need a touchscreen, this is a good option.

First, this is a VERY affordable laptop. Depending on the current deals, new vs. used, whatever the case may be. I got mine for under $300. Second, it does everything I need it to do! I work from home and I can run untold numbers of browser windows and tabs at any given time, as well as Office programs, Skype for Business, personal Outlook email, with no snags or hiccups provided the internet is being cooprative that day.
I have not tried it for gaming or anything art related because I bought it strictly for work and in a pinch and I have been pleasantly surprised by how useful and strong a laptop it's turned out to be.
I do not like the size, but I am spoiled with large monitors, I do however like how easily i can pick up and go and work from the road when needed.
I have even dropped it once already from my lap to the concrete driveway and other than a little scratch everything works perfect!
I did discover you do not want to leave it in direct sunlight for any length of time. And it can be a little difficult to hook up to your mobile hotspot, but then again that could just be me!

We got this for our mom because she was having an extended stay in the hospital then rehab. Eventually she did get the hang of using it (after getting her a wireless mouse) so it helped her get through some long days. It was easy to set-up and surprisingly fast and works great for what we needed it to do, get online and navigate the Internet. Other than the bluish tint to the display, I haven't had much time to figure out how or if I can correct that, I'm pretty impressed with this computer. Not having used it much myself I'm reluctant to give it a higher rating but what I have seen has impressed me.
