It’s not as fancy or versatile as a Yoga, but when weighing the two (both literally and figuratively) this model came out on top in almost every way. It’s fast, lightweight, has a good size screen, and has adequate RAM and storage. It’s probably not for gamers or for those using high-intensity photo or video editing programs, but for your basic user, this should work great. Battery life is average—you’re not likely to get the high end with consistent use—three to four hours seems to be the norm for me. Unless you’re prepared to use a very dim monitor and run a single program at a time, I wouldn’t expect too much here. I’ve had this device for about a month now, and it’s still quick as can be. Can’t say how it will hold up long term, but so far so good.

The ssd drive is very fast, boots up and downloads pages very quick. It’s just as good as the MacBook Air and it’s cheaper with a bigger screen. I had it for a month now and I really like it.

In that sense I mean for students who want something fast, efficient and light. I would recommend a case for the laptop as it is very light and the laptop can easily break if dropped, so treat this laptop with care n try not to be careless with it. As for the spec’s, it’s pretty good, it’s not high tech as to where you can play top notch games on it but it’s good enough for the standard laptop use. I would recommend this for those that wants something standard, as for the laptop is not slow nor is it buggy, you just have to know how to set it up, and know how much the laptop can take (processor/software wise).

Pretty decent computer for the price

Great laptop for students and basic home use

It’s fast, good picture, and user friendly. I use my laptop for school, emailing, social networking, Netflix, and paying my bills online. I did not want a fancy computer because I already have an iPad and iPhone. I love the full keyboard on it, the buttons are smooth and are easy to type fast on. The only negative thing about this computer is that the speakers are on the bottom of the laptop, and at 100% volume they’re pretty quiet. If you’re looking for a light weight lap top for basic home use and school work I say buy this computer!! I love this laptop! If you’re looking for a laptop for media design or gaming this is not the computer for you.

I am a basic needs user: email, internet, facebook, Hulu. The style is sleek ( love the steel blue color) and keyboard is snappy. The page up/down button is a tad slow; it doesn't zip back up to the top. The speakers are decent although I don't listen to music on this device. Seems to have good speed. I did disable the Windows only "S" feature so I could have chrome and make it compatible with a software program I own and it still runs like a charm. It did take a while to set up. Images are not quite as sharp as my former inexpensive ASUS lapto but I'm used to it now. Overall, a great value!

You get what you pay for, a bad laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off the description states that the unit is aluminium, it is 100% plastic and poor feeling at that. Now unto the issues. I went through 3 units all with issues, all from separate bestbuy stores but all made on 3/10/2019 as per the bottom sticker (so maybe all made on that date were bad ?). Any how the first unit had a very bad ssd, not a big deal it was going to be upgraded any how but wow. I mean you can get a name brand ssd for cheap these days but they put something in it from union memory (a Chinese maker). I have attached an image of the drive and the performance. It had decent read speed but write topped out at 136mb per second. Also the unit would kind of freeze up during massive drive access so it might not have any cache to lower costs. The issue though was the cooling system with unit one, it would not come on and would just click and then the cpu would hit 95 degrees and throttle down to 1ghz. So back to the store it went for unit 2, unit 2 had a broken panel it had a big yellow splotch in the middle. Unit three had a cooling system that would not slow down and was super loud. So I gave up at this point and will not buy another lenovo product. I ended up spending more on a surface book with the same processor, Samsung nvme ssd, and better lcd for about $200 more. On the other notes the LCD was ips and 1080p but the color gamut was very bad, I looked up the BOE0700 and it only is listed for 45% ntsc color gamut so it is a very poor 6bit panel with poor contrast but good viewing angles. The other issue was just how cheap and poor the chassis was, lots of noise when pushing on the plastic under normal use and it did not sit on a table flatly. The lcd hinge also felt super cheap. Anyhow steer clear of this pile of trash.

If you are getting substantially less battery life, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain your battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If there is no incompatible software installed, To maximize battery life, first adjust your battery saver settings. Next, to maximize battery life, be sure there are no unwanted programs running in the background, draining the battery. Here is a link to some tips for finding out what is draining your battery:

GREAT MACHINE FOR THE PRICE

Windows 10 program is not included but is discounted with the purchase. For what my Wife and I need a computer for this Lenovo does it all, for us, and a lot more that we don't even know about. I say it is great for a student and home use. I am just getting started with it and so far it has been very easy to configure. The GEEK fella was really nice in getting us started.

I didn't think I was going to have enough memory, so I bought an externa hard drive. right now I only use that to back up the stuff on the hard drive. I just use it for everyday use, nothing major, no gaming. but i do use it with Teams for work and work related apps as well, and it is great. runs well. never had an issue. It's now over a year old and still works as well as it did day 1. I love that it basically has a full sized keyboard with the number pad on the side. Would highly recommend and at the time the pricing was great!

I bought it for simple tasks like word processing, spreadsheets and accessing the Internet. I upgraded the memory and it works well for what I do. I don’t know how it would perform with the basic memory. The keyboard is good. The screen is OK. Battery life is fairly short and storage is limited. I planned on these limits when I bought the laptop. If your needs are similar to mine I think you will be satisfied.
