The conputer has good handling and good response times. I don't use the touch feature often, but the times I did it worked flawlessly and efficiently. It works well also for games that are medium quality, even some that are higher quality. The battery life is also good, can handle being off charger for over 6 hours of work or gaming, and the speeds for how things load are also good! I will also like to note that if you plan to use this pc for games adjust the performance settings on it to better optimize it. Overall, this PC is good for all around business, gaming, schoolwork, anything you could need or want from a pc of this quality!

This was the best value available for what I needed in a laptop when I wanted to replace an old laptop. It has a good size touch screen, adequate memory and storage, a fast processor, and I like the keyboard. The wireless capability connected to my home internet easily, Setup was painless and was completed in a short amount of time. The webcam has a manual shutter so know it will always be disabled until you need it. Pleased with my purchase.

I recently purchased the Lenovo Ideapad 3i with a 15.6” FHD touchscreen, Core i5-1155G7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD in Abyss Blue. Here are my thoughts: Performance: The Core i5 processor combined with 8GB of RAM provides smooth performance for everyday tasks and multitasking. It’s efficient for browsing, streaming, and working with office applications. Display: The 15.6” FHD touchscreen is responsive and bright, making it great for both work and media consumption. The touchscreen feature adds a layer of convenience for navigation. Design and Build: The Abyss Blue finish is sleek and modern. The laptop feels sturdy and well-built, though it’s slightly heavier than some ultrabooks. Battery Life: The battery life is decent, lasting around 6-7 hours on moderate usage. It’s adequate for a day’s work but not exceptional. Storage: The 512GB SSD ensures fast boot times and quick access to files. It’s spacious enough for most users’ needs. Keyboard and Touchpad: The keyboard is comfortable to type on, with good key travel. The touchpad is responsive and supports multi-touch gestures. Overall: The Lenovo Ideapad 3i offers great value for its price, delivering solid performance, a good display, and useful features like the touchscreen. It’s an excellent choice for students and professionals looking for a reliable mid-range laptop.

False Advertising! Not 12th Gen Core i5 intel chip

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Just bought the Lenovo Ideapad 3i Core i5 because of the President's Day sale discount & also because it was advertised as having a 12th generation Intel Core i5 processor under the "Features" tab (see screenshot). However, as I was setting it up at home later, I noticed in the laptop's configurations that what I received was a 11th generation Intel Core i5 processor instead. Note that 11th Gen Intel Core i5 were released in 2021 while 12th Gen i5 were released in 2022 with more cache. So I went back to the same Best Buy outlet to get the laptop with the advertised 12th Generation Intel Core i5 processor. However, after checking, Josh from the Geek Squad there said Best Buy made a mistake on their website as there is no such thing as a 12th generation Intel Core i5-1155G7 processor. He said I could return the laptop & buy a 12th gen laptop instead which was at least $400 more! As I was recently laid off & needed a computer to look for jobs & code for interviews, I cannot afford to pay $400 more for a laptop and can't get a chromebook either for the coding required. So I had no choice but to begrudgingly take the same laptop back so that I could code for my upcoming interview. So buyers beware! If you are looking for a 12th Gen Intel core i5 laptop, this is not it! FYI, I chose the Lenovo over other brands because the laptop & keyboard felt sturdier (not too plastic) and better for hours of coding besides the fact that I can upgrade the RAM and SSD easily if required.

I've had the laptop for 12 days as of writing this review. I am very happy with how smoothly it operates as well as how easy it is to use. I opted out of Windows 11 S Mode and the transition was seamless. I have no trouble installing and using 3rd party software. My daily laptop use includes listening to Pandora or YouTube Music while surfing the web on Chrome and Edge. I keep around 10 tabs open for easy access including running several spreadsheets on Google Sheets. I'm not a power user, and I don't play games, but I have no trouble multitasking. I'm amazed at how fast the laptop starts up and shuts down. There is virtually no waiting for things to load. You just turn it on, and it works. I just took the laptop on a trip out of state for 7 days, and it was a nice travel companion. At home, I connect the laptop to a 24" monitor and sound bar for a "desktop" like experience. The sound produced by this laptop is just average. It's not bad, and it's not good compared to other laptops. I would definitely invest in a soundbar or speakers if sound is important to you. The battery life of this laptop is just average. Though, I haven't felt limited by it. I feel a few hours is enough for me to find a charger. It charges pretty quickly. I don't have any complaints about the battery performance. Overall, I would buy this laptop again. I am very satisfied with my purchase, and it didn't break the bank. I don't see any limitations on performance for what I use it for...the processing power feels solid to me.

Be sure to disable ‘S’ mode

I needed two laptops to Zoom live presentations at a conference to those who could not attend in person. At first I tried to use Chromebooks for that purpose but Chromebooks have way too many limitations. The Lenovo Ideapad 3i laptops, on the other hand, did the job perfectly. One thing to note - these laptops come configured in Windows 11 ‘S’ mode. That means you can only install programs for the Microsoft Store. I was trying to load the Zoom app from the Zoom website and the laptop wouldn’t let me. It didn’t say it was in ‘S’ mode, just that my laptop settings were configured to not allow it. I’m pretty computer savvy, but for the life of me couldn’t figure out what was going on. Out of exasperation I tried to install Chrome to see if another browser would allow me to download and install a program. It was only then, when Chrome tried to install itself, that Chrome told me I was in ‘S’ mode and showed me how to disable it and run my laptop in the regular Windows 11 mode. In sum, this is a very inexpensive laptop that works well. I can run several programs simultaneously (e.g., Zoom and a large PowerPoint presentation) smoothly. Nice bright touchscreen. Highly recommend. Just be sure to disable ‘S’ mode.

My wife needed a new laptop for school because our old one was acting up and dumb me bought it without looking to see if it was upgradable. Well I didn't make the same mistake twice! This computer so far runs great! It's faster and smoother than our last one(off brand) and sleaker in style. I like the fast processor and ram plus a decent sized SSD hard drive for everyday use. This laptop offers the ability to upgrade RAM and SSD capacity if you so choose to do so and that was one of the biggest reasons I went with it especially for the money!! It runs super quiet even under load, but does put off some heat if it's on your lap. I ordered a cooler to go under it and it keeps it running cool and quiet for all day use. There is ONE complaint I do have and it won't effect everyone. This laptop ships with Windows 11 in S mode and that's ok for a lot of users that don't know much about operating systems and deeper computer skills etc, but for me it left the first day! lol Just know that if you switch it out of S mode Microsoft says you can't go back!!(however there is a way, but that's a whole other topic) Overall my wife and I are happy with this laptop and recommend it to anyone needing a good, fast, all around quality laptop!

This is quite the machine: I have been used to using my Apple MacBook Pro (2019) and this is a ramp up from even that product. A bit of initial frustration as the Windows 11 starts off in the 'S' mode which is to get you to only buy the Microsoft Shop approved apps. I dropped out of that one when I downloaded a once off MSOffice 2021 licensed product from an online store I have previously used. Then, Zooooma! away it went! It has the i5 CPU from Intel & it really Crunches through throwing up graphics like nothing else. Then I discovered it has a touch screen!! So easy to use. The SSD is a reasonable size, but I am into a ton of photos and a ton of music on my other computers so this amount is right on the button good for me. So... super quick, light, hardly any heat generation so the battery lasts all day. Only one downside: has not too many ports, but with readily available port ex-panders that's not a problem. It does also have a handy SDXC disc reader that all my cameras use. I can really recommend this one to you! Seriously. And the display is crisp and has great luminosity: easy on the eye.

I bought this laptop for my boyfriend for his school work. It’s a big upgrade over his previous outdated Lenovo that was struggling to open basic Microsoft programs. This laptop looks very nice, the keys and touch pad feel smooth and responsive. It’s very quick and handles multiple programs and multitasking without signs of slowing down. He likes the touch screen feature as well, helps him move quickly with some of his lab work. The display shows gorgeous and vibrant colors and is well lit. He took it out of S mode so he could download some other non Microsoft apps he needed, no issues and so far so good! The battery life also appears to last a long time too. Great purchase, especially at the $399 price point I was able to get it at!

This is a pretty quick little laptop! So far we have really enjoyed how easy it is to use, the touch screen is very accurate and it uploads and refreshes very quickly. The only downfall is the size is a little bigger than I'd like at 15.5, but it is very lightweight
