After trying to load an external DVD w/r I found out it has Microsoft S-Mode, a "security" feature where you can only get apps from the Microsoft store. You can get rid of it but I had to have the Geek Squad do it as my attempts failed.

The battery life was good at first but with time it starts to need to be charged more often so that’s the only con :/.

My school programs run seamlessly AS WELL AS my sims game and I downloaded lots of cc and it hasn’t slown this computer down one bit!! Amazing!! Only thing that sucks is the battery life tbh but it’s not much of an issue for me I just plug in the computer most of the time!

I bought it for my daughter to do her school work on and she has not put it down. The touch screen was the selling point for me on this laptop. Give it a new windows experience i am not use to as an old school PC admin but it is growing on me fast!

So far I am very happy with the purchase and think it will suit our needs of a family laptop very well. We really like the touch screen option. I did have to turn of the Windows S mode almost immediately because it basically prevents opening any downloads.

For clarification for readers regarding Windows 11 in S-Mode – it is a more secure, lighter version of the Windows 11 Operating System that only allows the downloading of applications from the Microsoft Store. If you try to launch or install an executable or .exe file, the system prevents it. To prevent this from happening, by switching out of S-Mode, like Torie here, it is quick, easy, and of no charge.
