Purchase a real laptop instaed of this Chromebook

To do so, please try completing a hardware reset. You can learn about this process by visiting the following link to a Google Support webpage: https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/3227606?hl=en&sjid=11168473644130281663-NA), which will reboot the embedded controller that manages various system components, including the camera.

ChromeOS designers intentionally made it so that you cannot save items to the desktop to improve system responsiveness and keep a simple UI.
