Wanted a device just to access ZOOM that I could leave in my classroom and not worry about something happening to it. $115 delivered! Hook it to a larger monitor and I'm rolling. Very pleased.

Regarding using a Google account for setup, this is due to a few factors, most notably to secure your Chromebook and help keep your saved data from being lost. This is due to the level of security provided by ChromeOS, powered by Google Chrome and Google Services, along with saving your device data so that if it is lost or needs to be reset, within just a few minutes your device is just like it was before. We're glad to hear that your Chromebook performs well for you, and we really appreciate you sharing your experience and feedback with us.

After applying these updates, should your issue persist, we recommend trying to complete a powerwash or factory reset to see if this resolves the issue. Wish they would have touch screens standard on these things. Used to be able to get cheap chrome books with touchscreens but now you have to pay more than I want for that feature.
