Exactly what I was looking for. Long battery life, large sharp screen, and snappy performance.

The screen and capabilities of the chrome book duet rival top quality iPad pros. You can enable Linux on it which makes it a lot more customizable and the chrome os is convenient to use. The OLED screen is the BEST feature about this Lite weight tablet/chromebook. You can even buy a usi pen and use it like a sketchbook or notebook. It’s awesome hands down, and it’s on sale frequently for around $370-400. It’s battery life is ridiculously long with an all day life span. I’m definitely going to mess with the Linux features some more down the road.

If you use chrome you can send tabs to your tablet and use on the go. The screen is nice but I hope the next version is 4k oled or anything higher than 1080p. Other than that this is probably one of my best purchases. The battery lasts forever and having password autofills transfer over from my google account and android apps is super useful. It comes with a keyboard and back case unlike an ipad and has much more functionality being a chromebook tablet.

Chose this over the HP Chromebook X2 11 after using the latter for a month. The gen 2 Snapdragon chip runs much smoother and faster than the gen 1 on the HP. The screen is gorgeous and the keyboard is better sized for longer stretches of typing. Screen size is unwieldy for tablet applications but to me it's the perfect 2 in 1 for media consumption.

Bought this for my soon to be college freshman, he loves the ease of use and the ability to pull the screen off to turn it into an iPad

Cons first - there are no cases for the IdeaPad Duet 5 13.3". Meaning - if you use this on the go, you are stuck with the only option of a sleeve to carry around with it, or those "book binder" looking cases. Just a warning for those looking for more portable carry. Other than that, if you are hoping to use this with a pen, I have yet to find a pen option that is as precise as the Lenovo active pen (which does not work on this laptop) Confirm pen options before thinking this computer will be your note taking computer for use. Pros now: Great size if you like a bigger screen. It is awkward for those who like portability, but I like the larger screen size for document editing and coursework. Works great with a hub system for connecting to other screens and keyboard / mouse combos. It is a Chromebook, so be aware - your getting google products built in and all are more app style use. Takes a little getting use to but functions well. Over all this a great laptop first, tablet second computer. It is a little on the heavy side if your thinking for a kids laptop. However, my 9 yr old loves this computer (it was purchased for him) for all that he is needing it for.

I always swore I'd never get a Chromebook, but I was such a fan of the Duet's design, I figured I'd give it a try. I wish more "2-in-1's" were designed like this where instead of the more typical folding design you simply pull the keyboard off entirely. This leaves you w/ a pure tablet when you need it, similar to how a Microsoft Surface functions. Next I should mention the screen, which is a nice surprise. It's a very crisp, bright and colorful OLED, which helps improve battery life. In normal use (mix of streaming, surfing and typing) I seem to get between 10-15 hours. The Duet is also surprisingly responsive compared to most other Chromebooks I've used. It's not a powerhouse by any means, but for the price, and when factoring in the other excellent features, I'd have to say I'm a fan. The keyboard is probably the only real letdown. It's not particularly great, with minimal key travel, and no backlighting. As such, I'd say the Duet is more for someone looking for a tablet, than for someone looking for a laptop.

I absolutely love the device. The screen is really nice, the battery life is incredible, and the performance is smooth. The aspect ratio is great for video although not as good as for productivity. I also wish the keyboard could fold underneath the device like the Microsoft surface keyboards. I would definitely suggest purchasing when on sale.

easy to use and fast, not heavy. easy to take everywhere

It's a Chromebook with an OLED display. It wont run the latest games at the highest resolution, but you can definitely browse the web, answer emails, even do some productive work. Oh, did I mention the OLED screen? Colors are unbelievably saturated (in a good way) and the black is unbelievably bad. That's probably what sets the Duet 5 apart from the others. I like the integrated keyboard and the stand, too. It's like my Surface Pro, just half the price and power, and maybe the battery runs longer, too.

Great battery life 8 hours. Screen very bright and comes with detachable keyboard. I got 8gb version dont notice any lag or slow down. Wish it add micro sd to add storage 128gb seems very limiting. Has usb c on either good for charging on the couch. Very big to use just has tablet i prefer 11 inch tablets. The keyboard and chrome browser feel just like laptop. Only negative is using the couch the weight and wobbles not going to replace regular laptop.

I buy a new Chromebook every year since 2015. This may be my favorite. The Snapdragon is plenty powerful for me with the 8GB RAM and the 13.3 inch OLED from Samsung with 400 nits of brightness is fantastic. Great included keyboard, solid speakers and easy to travel with. Highly recommended!!

This is my first Chromebook but I have many computers and mobile devices and I'm a Google enthusiast but just never got a Chromebook before because haven't needed one. I'm very impressed with this device. The performance and the screen are fantastic and the form factor is very nice. I only want to use this device now as compared to my other devices. Much more polished than Android or windows and for those that use apple products, I even think this is appealing.

3rd Chromebook that I own and by far this Lenovo duet is the most portable longer lasting battery life and versatile device that I have used. Always with me on the go. Chrome OS is getting better and better. It is a great companion to your mobile phone. Always connecting and synchronizing together for seemless operation. Galaxy buds also connects via Galaxy Wear App in the Chrome Android store.

It is a nice tablet with a keyboard. Relatively not heavy. Display is bright and has vivid colors. Detachable keyboard is nice. However, it is not Bluetooth active and therefore not usable unless attach to the tablet. Overall it is a nice tablet.

It is quick and responsive. The keyboard is acceptable. Track pad works fine. Screen has good detail but is very reflective. Touchscreen is responsive. I would like a Matte finish for better outdoor/bright settings. Usually takes 2 tries to pair with my phones WiFi. Sound is adequate. Definitely an upgrade from the Duet 10.1.

Very good for basic use such as internet browsing and everyday tasks.
