Display is bright and has vivid colors. Detachable keyboard is nice. However, it is not Bluetooth active and therefore not usable unless attach to the tablet. Overall it is a nice tablet.

Great computer. Decent tablet. Amazing battery!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After months of going back and fourth on whether I wanted to buy the Duet 5 or not, I finally decided to pull the trigger and was just waiting for it to go on sale again. Once it eventually hit it's sale price I was able to get a screamer of a deal for an Open-Box Excellent condition. I've had it for a few days now and so far I'm very pleased. The build quality is great. The product design is catching to the eye. It runs much faster than my previous Chromebook, which had an Intel M3 and 4gb ram. The 8gb of ram in the Duet 5 is very noticeable. The screen is beautiful and works great in laptop mode. I have to admit that the tablet is just a little too large when holding it in the hand. I was looking forward to reading comics on the Duet 5 and have to say the tablet is even slightly too long for comic book dimensions. It still looks great though. Lastly, the battery life on this thing is killer! I went almost 2 full work days without needing to charge and that was with mixed usage. The Duet 5 may not be for everyone but for the sale price it's hard to beat. No regrets so far.

One of the best price to performance chromebooks
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the best, for the money, chromebooks on the market. Smooth and still snappy interface. Processor is plenty fast and the 8GB of RAM make for an excellent experience. Also, greatly appreciate the support of Android apps in addition to default chromeos resources. The display is beautiful and touch is responsive

Powerful and stunning
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great daily use device if you're deep in the Google ecosystem. Powerful, stunning and versatile. The only reason I knocked it one star is because of the odd aspect ratio, it's great for watching movies but not much else. I wouldn't recommend this for a child because the chrome OS is more like a desktop than a tablet and has a learning curve.

OLED pixels again? Just me?
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this open box after viewing it in store. The OLED screen, at a decent distance is impressive. However, I can clearly see the pixels up close when used as a tablet. There's something going on with these OLED displays where the pixels are noticable with lighter colors. I saw the same thing on the galaxy Chromebook 4k. But! Movies look great with oled, just not white or gray backgrounds where the dots appear. Furthermore, the kick stand comes out very far in the back when you lean it back so it doesn't fit on my lap desk. I doubt it would fit on any. FOR ME, this was returned because it didn't work out. If you're using this for light use, watching movies, playing games, it's solid. Performance seemed quite good as well. If you plan on using it as a Chromebook, just make sure you have enough room for the kick stand in the back! For me it's back to the drawing board.

Excellent alternative to a mid range PC.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is very easy to set up. Basically open lid, enter your Google credentials and youre in. No updates to download like a windows pc. If you do a lot of web browsing, paying bills and general computing you will like this chromebook. The way the screen detaches from the keyboard using strong magnets is unique.

Dynamic video screen performance!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Lenovo Chromebook is a mixed bag, on the whole I really like the machine, but there are a few things to be aware. First, if you use Apple products, you won't be interested, Android and PC it is an important addition to your line-up. Next, for a table with 8 gigs of Ram and 128 gigs of memory, it is a powerful machine in comparison to the rest of the market. It uses the Google Linux system, which some may not love, but the learning curve is not difficult. The picture itself is superb, the best I've seen from anyone when watching film and television playback. While the film/tv watching is great, the screen is large and some might find it cumbersome for doing certain activities. The keyboard magnetically snaps to the monitor if you choose to use it, which actually is terrific as the magnet is extremely strong. Two small other small notes, the machine is self cased, but you need keyboard attached for the protection. You can then put it in another case. Lastly, this is strictly a WIFI machine, if you want to add a carrier to it, as it does not have a chip port, that is impossible.

Excellent media and web surfing device
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great device and can be both your media device and your PC if everything is in the cloud. Beautiful screen and very responsive. Excellent value for the price. Battery life is fantastic. Only problem is that the speakers are very low-powered...nothing that a bluetooth speaker can't fix.

For certain people, this is a perfect machine.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think this is a keeper. I wanted something that allowed me to work with Google Apps for work but also allow to play some android app games and watch streaming content. All that works for me. The 2 things I am blown away by is the insane battery life and the beautiful oled screen. With moderate use I can get into the 2nd day before I need to charge. Heavy use and I can get through the day. The oled screen is really nice to look at when streaming shows/movies. Sure, I wish the processor was more powerful and the screen was a little more than 1080p but all of that is the beauty of chromeOS. It is light so this processor gets the job done the "improvements" will probably come at the cost of battery life.

An iPad killer!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it! This is a real iPad killer! My iPad Air (1st Gen.) was on it's last legs and I wasn't interested in another iPad. Aside from playing some games and watching videos on it I really was unable to do much (conveniently) with it. My iPad never worked out for me as a productivity tool. This Lenovo Chromebook, though, is just awesome! I can run all the apps I enjoyed on my iPad. Plus, via my Google Drive account I can assess all my files and review/edit them when I'm away from my office. This isn't a desktop or full blown laptop replacement for me, but it does allow me to work remotely with ease. Oh, the keyboard is just fantastic. It provides good tactile feel and rebound, which I really like. The iPad's virtual keypad was awful! My Chromebook is also plenty fast and has 8Gb of memory and 128Gb of onboard storage. Awesome! So, no more iPads for me. I'm glad I found this Lenovo Chromebook. I really love it.

Just buy it, you won't be sorry.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My expectations were high and the Duet 5 delivered and then some. What a gorgeous screen, good keyboard, and plenty of zip for most tasks. I'm an IT/database person and I could use this in a pinch to do most of my tasks. I'm finding myself wanting to use this machine a lot. Consider me impressed!

Great Chromebook for work and entertainment.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great Chromebook. Fast and responsive. The OLED screen is beautiful. Runs Android apps well. Too bad it did not come with a pen. Had to get an aftermarket one from Amazon. Battery life has been excellent. So far the hinge has been holding up well. The keyboard is great. Even better when on sale, of course.

Looks nice, not so useful.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried 2 of these 2 months apart and experienced the same pros and cons. Pros: Beautiful screen! Light-weight, comfy keyboard, strong stand. Great (open box) price! Comes with kick-stand and keyboard. Cons: Apps would just crash and not give any error messages (Google Files, Diablo Immortal, Microsoft Edge), would have to restart the whole thing to try again. Watching videos on the YouTube app was torture. It would freeze up, skip, and if you went full screen you would see 2-5 seconds of black screen before a choppy image showed up.

70% of the way there.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic typing experience for a folio keyboard, met my expectations from Lenovo. Beautiful Screen (my model had no issues with flicker.) Runs fast, smooth and ran well with Android applications, but Chrome OS in tablet mode is still slower than in "desktop" mode--scaling and such has some delay. However, it seems the bean counters got in the way: The Duet 5 has a fantastic display with horrendous audio--very tinny and muddled, would be good enough for video calls. This is not a media consumption device, nor does it appear to be marketed as a workhorse as it doesn't include a stylus. It's 70% of being everything I need, but that's just not enough to justify the purchasing price.
