If you spend more time in tablet mode, I would lean towards the Duet 3. I have used it in tablet mode laying in bed and it's not terrible. Tablet is good considering the specs and if you keep in mind this is not a laptop, but a tablet with a mobile device processor. Perfect for web browsing, light emulators and media consumption. Good battery life, great display and solid build.

Only complaint is it's tough "ish" to find a good, strong case, that also is aesthetically pleasing and user friendly with this type of notebook

The display is low resolution so the text doesn't look sharp. There is an issue with the display colors while watching Netflix, YouTube or editing photos. If you move the cursor the colors return to normal, but once the cursor disappeared, the display become overly saturated with an emphasis on the color reds. The machine feels really slow and sluggish at this point. It comes with a very nice keyboard that feels good to type but it is not backlit. In conclusion I do not recommend this machine.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're sorry to hear that you're having this problem with your Duet 5 Chromebook. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may be causing you, and we'd like to work with to address these pain points.
To address the screen resolution, by default for scaling the display is set at a lower resolution. Should you wish for the display to appear sharper, please adjust the resolution under display settings in ChromeOS settings.
Regarding the coloring and sluggish performance issues, try to resolve this, please attempt a hardware reset on your Chromebook (visit the following link to learn how to do so: https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/3227606?hl=en&sjid=11168473644130281663-NA), which reboots the embedded controller that manages various system components, which may resolve the issue.
If this doesn't resolve your issue, you may need to factory reset your Chromebook, which you can learn more about towards the bottom of the webpage tied to the previously embedded link. So long as your Chromebook is backed up and the data is tied to the same Google account you used to setup your Chromebook, you can restore your system from a backup point to prevent you having to go through the full setup process again or having to make setting adjustments and customizations again.
If after these steps are followed, your issues persist, in-depth troubleshooting will be necessary to fix the problem. We recommend contacting Lenovo Support here: 877-453-6686, for further assistance.

Great for internet basic use

She uses it for the basics on the internet and the value for it is awesome. I used to have to buy $500 + laptops for her that would die in 1-2 years. Not anymore!! So happy with my purchase!

College classes, writing papers, online searches, working on my business expenses and income. My daughter plays games on it as well. It was a great price as well.

Not in the apple system but ideal for basic tasks once you get used to using a Chromebook. Not sure why the other reviewers do not like reading on it. If you custom size the window, kindle reading works very well.

The software is a little buggy, sometimes I have to restart the device to be able to adjust brightness. Great for basic web browsing and games. Some video sites are discolored could be from software side too

Just got a stylus so we will see about that. Should come with the sytlus holders, so I would deduct some for have to buy that for #35 more.

Keyboard and everything works great she is able to play all her games so the ram is sufficient and haven't had a single problem with it.

Chrome OS works beautifully and to be able to use android tabs in a tablet form factor is just a perk. Just ordered the stylus holder and usi stylus. The sale price was a steal. No more research just buy it already.

Not all Google Play Store APPs are optimized for the Chrome Operating System. We recommend you check with the specific APPs software publisher's web sites, of the specific APPs you want to use, for their compatibility with the Chrome operating system and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this Chromebook's configuration.
