OS broke down in less than a year

Bought in January, broke in October. The screen kept displaying an update that did not exist. Followed every single Google instruction to no avail. Since it’s still under the manufacturer’s one-year warranty, we sent it to Lenovo. It’s already November and we still haven’t received it back as there is a “delay” on parts. Told us the part is estimated to arrive December 19, 2023. I regret this purchase.

Hi, Clay. We are sorry to hear that your Duet 5 has fallen short of your expectations and are having trouble with it. To try to remedy this, first, please look for any applicable updates in the “About ChromeOS” tab in system settings. After applying these updates, should your issue persist, we recommend trying to complete a powerwash or factory reset to see if this resolves the issue. To complete a reset, here is a link to a Google Support page that details how to reset a Chromebook: https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/183084?hl=en. After these steps, if this doesn’t resolve things, we recommend reaching out to Lenovo Tech Support for Chromebooks at this number: 800-426-7378, and providing a representative with details of your issue, so that they may help by providing a solution for you. We appreciate you sharing your experience so that we may use it to continue to better our products and services for yourself and others. Lenovo

It comes with no directions/user info. You MUST get appt. with Geek Squad to learn basic manuevers and command locations; it is overly complicated and has an extremely sensitive keyboard and the touchpad will be a real challenge if you are used to typing on a desk top. The only saving grace is that it is hooked up to Chrome. Otherwise, save your money.

Its main strength is the low priced true OLED screen. The main weakness for me is the tendency to tilt and "flop forward" into the keyboard. A one piece "stiff back support" for the keyboard attachment (like Apple uses) would solve this problem.

Not anything special, pretty limited in what it can do and feels slow a lot of the time. Return window was only 2 weeks so stuck with it, but would probably recommend something different.

Just received the Duet in the mail today. The tablet is bent and the housing is separating from the display. This Duet was clearly dropped and returned. I'm surprised that it was not properly inspected before it was offered for resale. It was list as "Excellent" and is far from it.

    OLED Burn in

So this is actually a really cool Chromebook. I do love the tablet 1st aspect. It also can handle anything you throw at it as a Chromebook. The main issue im having is the OLED screen burn-in. I have exchanged this Chromebook twice and both of them have had the issue. If the screen is above 50 percent brightness its not noticable, though under that there are permanent lines horizontal across the screen. That is a huge deal for me. So after 2 of them, ive given up.. but other than that.. its a great Chromebook.

This 2 in 1 tablet is nice if you just want something for fun, but trying to use this tablet for work is a nightmare and definitely makes job more difficult. I bought device “brand new” according to Best Buy ( paid the bill extra $100) and when I opened it there was already a user account set up and EVERYTHING was in Mandarin. The touch screen is very finicky and only works half the time
