battery life low

Also, takes a long time to download videos, larger emails, FB slow and stops videos half way through and can't always get posts. Have to close and re-open frequently. My Dell with 4GB was faster than this. Won't be buying another Lenovo when I need to replace!!!!! Wish there was longer time period of when to return for full refund...2 weeks not long enough. Tried to return after a month, but a no go...

Given the description of the issues you are having, low battery life, slow downloads and performance, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686

Posted .With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

While watching a video It was working WONDERFULLY until it decides to put a red x on the speaker, stating (no driver installed) No matter what I did, I could not use the computer again to watch anything with sound, until I brought it in for service. very inconvenient, time consuming, and costly.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you had issues with updating audio drivers on your Lenovo IdeaPad S145-15. You can easily update all the drivers on your computer by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software installed on the device. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

This Laptop was $200 off for Memorial Day and even though I was looking for even better specs, these one was only half the price. So I decided to go ahead and order it online, since they don’t have it in store. I received the laptop and there was something disappointing about it and that was the screen. There was something wrong with the screen and it took me several hours to figure out what it is. After wasting almost a day trying to fix the problem I found out that they are two types of screens: Glossy and Matte. And this happened to be the Matte one. I will let you do your own research on the differences, since this review is already too long. I just want to make clear that the reason I’m rating this product with 3 stars is not because I think that there is anything wrong with the laptop, but because Lenovo and BestBuy don’t mention anywhere that this is a Matte finish Screen. The price of the laptop is great for what it is. Depending on the usage of the product a lot of people may find this Matte finish Screen a better fit for their needs, but for me personally this is not a good fit. A lot of the Windows products have a white background and the screen seemed pixelated, but as I said some people maybe just fine with it, since it has great anti-glare protection and if that’s what you need good for you. It supposed to be better for your eyes anyway. I knew that this is not a touch screen or a 4K and I’m fine with it. I just wished that it was mentioned anywhere that this is a Matte screen so I wouldn't have to waste my time. Everything else was great about this laptop at this price point. I end up returning the product at my closest store. The process was very easy.
