Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad S145-15 laptop. This is an entry level, light use system with its Intel Pentium processor. It is not meant for multi-tasking or demanding programs. It is good for Microsoft Office and light internet browsing. This model ships with Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost.

Good starter laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this so that I could use it as the main computer for a Catholic Cemetery. All the information will be on this laptop and because it is portable, anyone of the board members can take and use. Plus it can be used while out in the cemetery as needed.

Posted .The Lenovo IdeaPad S145-15 laptop is an entry level, light use system with its Intel Pentium Gold 5405U processor. This Dual-Core/Four-Thread processor has a speed of 2.3GHz. If the performance you are experiencing is slower than expected, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. The IdeaPad S145-15 laptop is not meant for multi-tasking or demanding programs. It is good for Microsoft Office and light internet browsing. This model ships with Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System. Laptop that makes a novice an expert
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Lenovo laptop made it so easy that I didn't need geek squad to switch old asus to new Lenovo a snap. It walked me thru step by step so even someone in their 70's could do it. If I can anyone can. Great feature for an inexpensive laptop!

It's inexpensive and gets the job done
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not a formidable computer, but for lightweight tasks (email and web surfing), it does just fine! The screen is big. The speakers are pretty inadequate though. We ended up buying add'l plug in speakers because the audio was so bad. This was to be used by my elderly dad. He has a tremor, so navigating on the track pad was difficult. Overall, it's a reasonable machine at a decent price.

Nice Laptop For Basic Use
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We love this laptop for basic use. I would say that changing out the 4GB of ram for 8GB or more is well worth the cost in relation to how much faster the PC will run. Easy change out after reading another review on here from a customer that did the same thing.
