Do not buy

Took it to bestbuy for an exchange they told me I'm out of the 14 day window and have to go through lenova now. Very upset as this was a gift for Mom and she's already having problems after owning for roughly 3 weeks. Extremely disappointed in how best buy handles this

To start, we recommend adjusting your device’s sleep settings which may be causing your system to shut off the screen faster than needed. Firstly, open the Settings app, then select the “Systems” tab located on the left hand of the device, click the “Power & battery” option on the right-hand side of the display, finally choose the “Screen, sleep & hibernate timeouts” tab, this will open a drop-down menu where you can change how quickly your device goes into sleep mode. We also suggest that you check for software and drivers updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings which may be impacting your device’s ability to communicate with the display effectively. To check for updates in Lenovo Vantage, start by launching the Lenovo Vantage app and selecting the “Check for updates” button on the right-hand side of the homepage. To check for Windows Updates, start by launching the Settings app, then selecting the Windows Update tab on the left-hand side of the page, finally select the “Check for updates’ button located in the top right of the page.

Don't Recommend

Ive owned lenovo before and theyve been okay. Here the cursor disappears for minutes at a time and it drops websites at will.its also big and clunky. I do not recommend at all.

Two Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3's died in two months

It failed on September 12,2025. We were able to return it to Best Buy. It is now October 28, 2025, and the "new" one has a black screen. Totally unusable. I was tol Lenovo laptops were reliable, but two failed laptops in two months is unacceptable. I will contact Lenovo tomorrow, but I would want anything but a Lenovo.

Screen is flickering

The screen is flickering out of nowhere. It's not consistent so I unfortunately cannot provide video evidence but yes it is flickering. Luckily I don't do any gaming or consuming video content on this at all.

It works. But....

Regret this purchase

The update deactivated my pin and now I am locked out of my computer, by Windows, for at least 30 days. I went to Best Buy’s Geek Squad and they were unable to help since it was a Windows issue. So now my computer is sitting there useless. I was warned by an IT consultant not to buy Lenovo, wish I had listened.

To start, you may need to factory reset your system. If you wish to complete this process, the instructions are listed below:
1. There is a small pin hole on the bottom right side of the device, first in line before the other ports on the right side. You will need a pin (a SIM ejector tool or the end of a paperclip should suffice) to push this reset button.
2. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose to view "System Recovery" options. Select System Recovery.
3. On the next screen, select "Troubleshooting", then "Reset this PC". Select the option to remove everything from the system and for Windows to be installed locally. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset.

Lenvo laptop
